With the majority of the cows gone, Clarkson's "eco-farming" plan involving both his cows and hens was thrown into disarray, forcing the farm to buy chemical fertilizer; however, fertilizers prices are soaring due to various geopolitical tensions, in addition to rising gasoline, energy and manpower costs, potentially causing Clarkson to make significant losses when the harvest is due. Following this meeting, Clarkson visits Viktor to check on the bees to extract the next batch of honey, apparently the "only thing making money" on the farm. Clarkson then ponders on how to diversify the farm even further and; he takes a walk with his two dogs Sansa and Arya who soon after get distracted by a deer and chase it, ignoring Clarkson's commands. After a drink of Hawkstone Lager, Clarkson decides to "farm the unfarmed", essentially farming the bits of land that he doesn't usually farm for it contains berries, apples and other things.

To a sight of a confused Charlie, Clarkson explains that "there's method in his madness"; he would show Charlie an infamous speech made by then-Environment Secretary-turned-Prime Minster UsefulNotes/LizTruss, where she declared intent to "open up new pork markets" in anticipation of a burgeoning pork market in China. Charlie then advises Clarkson on how to go about rearing pigs and discourages him from his initial plan of breeding pigs and hearty discussion ensues. Meanwhile, Kaleb takes Clarkson's Lamborghini tractor for servicing before using his own John Deere tractor to do the remaining work. Clarkson and Kaleb later meet, where they discuss about the Lamborghini tractor's servicing bill and how the competition was going; Kaleb is slightly dismayed at the results, with Clarkson in the lead with an £8,240 profit.

** The farm restaurant was forcibly shut down by the West Oxford council, something that angered Clarkson, Alan, and Cheerful Charlie to no end. They also had to put it back to the way it was essentially, something which Alan incredulously calls out.
** All the Cows on the farm that had matured had to be sent away, including Pepper, who had been kept specifically as a pet to avoid being sent away at the end of the last season. This was to keep his promise of taking care of Pepper whose original owner, a little girl, wanted Jeremy to do. With the Restaurant now defunct, there was no way to literally thin the herd, so they all had to go, leaving their calves behind.
** The crops have been starved due to the heat and ground going as hard as concrete, so potato's and sunflowers are either unfit to grow further, or simply ''cannot'' grow any more, and rapeseed is deemed impossible to farm.

After getting his Lamborghini tractor back from servicing, Clarkson offers to help Kaleb with topping the fields for the harvest. Clarkson is gushing about his tractor's performance being restored before he receives a phone call; the call turns out to be from a member of Gerald's family, who reveals the reason for Gerald's extended absence. After Clarkson hangs up the call, a distressed Clarkson reveals to the viewer the reason behind Gerald's extended absence: he was diagnosed prostate cancer. The credits then play in silence.

disarray, forcing the farm to buy chemical fertilizer; however, fertilizers prices are soaring due to various geopolitical tensions, in addition to rising gasoline, energy and manpower costs, potentially causing Clarkson to make significant losses when the harvest is due.

Acknowledging this would require a significant amount of work, Clarkson calls a meeting with Kaleb, whereupon he appoints him farm manager and discusses with him his plans. Clarkson later decides to make a competition out of this to determine who would make more profit; Kaleb on the arable and Clarkson on the "unfarmed" section. Clarkson would soon discover that blackberries were being sold for 6p; to his delight, there were significant amounts of blackberries on a hedgerow in his "unfarmed" section. In an attempt to maximize profits, Clarkson rents a blackberry picking machine, with Clarkson asking a grain truck on the compound to reverse temporarily so the blackberry picker could enter; this is done to the sight of an annoyed Kaleb, who is busy loading the grain truck, with Clarkson and Kaleb getting into a minor argument. Clarkson hitches his picker to an Antonio Carraro Mach 4 tractor and sets off to pick the blackberries.

Picking the blackberries turns out to be easier said than done, with Clarkson unable to get the picker to straddle a nearby dry stone wall to pick the blackberries; naturally, Clarkson phones Kaleb for help, who manages to get the picker straddled along the wall. As they proceed, Clarkson notices that the picker is destroying the wall; further along, they find out that the wall actually extends further than it appears, much to Clarkson and Kaleb's dismay. With a number of damaged walls creating "a week's worth of work" for Gerald who was unable to come down to repair them on account of being ill, the rental company returns to pick up the picker, where they are forced to use two telehandlers to lift the picker off the wall.

While Clarkson devises a new way to pick his blackberries, he helps Kaleb and Kieron out with clearing some 200 tons of feces produced by "his recently departed cows" to use as fertilizer; Clarkson gets into his JCB [=AgriSuper=] telehandler to aid Kaleb in loading his new Ktwo Bio 1600 muck spreader. As he loads the muck spreader, Kaleb talks of an anecdote where he was at Simon's farm, a rock was shot out of his muck spreader into his house, damaging a window, its blinds, a chair and a fridge in the process. Kieron then proceeds to use the muck spreader to fertilize the field; Clarkson was "extremely happy" to use "free fertilizer" but it would only be sufficient for 25 acres, leaving Kaleb to calculate how much chemicals would be needed to fertilize the rest.

Calling a meeting with Charlie in one of the farm's garages doubling as Kaleb's "office", Kaleb discusses his plan with Charlie, to which he claims he could save some £22,000 from the initial projected costs of fertilizer. Clarkson meanwhile was busy building another blackberry harvesting implement. By attaching a gasoline-powered generator to the back of his Supacat and a vacuum cleaner to the generator, Clarkson would use a vacuum cleaner to suck up the blackberries; this implement actually works, with Clarkson gleeful at the results. Following the harvest, Clarkson uses the harvested blackberries to make blackberry jam; Charlie walks into the farm kitchen shortly after and begins lecturing Clarkson on the requirements to make and sell jam, leading Clarkson to have to discard that batch of blackberries and start again.

Luckily for Clarkson, Kaleb was also on the receiving end of Charlie's lectures, with Kaleb insisting to plant rapeseed despite Charlie feeling it would be risky to do so due to unfavorable weather conditions; Kaleb passionately defends his reason to plant rapeseed, insisting that a shortage of rapeseed would lead to higher prices and would benefit the farm as opposed to him doing it just for the sake of overtaking Clarkson in the competition. Clarkson proceeds to harvest more blackberries and proceeds to do the various calculations required to sell the blackberry jam; he then struggles with sterilizing a washed glass jar, with Charlie looking on in amusement.

Days later, Clarkson stocks up the farm shop with his jam, charging £3.60 for a jar despite Lisa's insistence on charging £4.80; returning to his endeavor of "farming the unfarmed" with tasks like producing honey and more jam, Clarkson was well aware that due to the incoming fall season, this income stream would soon dry up with the bees inactive and the bushes bare. Despite this, Clarkson comes up with another idea to make money and calls a meeting with Charlie, where he reveals his plan: purchasing pigs.

To a sight of a confused Charlie, Clarkson explains that "there's method in his madness"; he would show Charlie a speech made by then-British Prime Minster UsefulNotes/LizTruss, where she declared intent to "open up new pork markets" in December, in anticipation of a burgeoning pork market in China. Charlie then advises Clarkson on how to go about rearing pigs and discourages him from his initial plan of breeding pigs and hearty discussion ensues. Clarkson and Kaleb later meet, where they discuss about the Lamborghini tractor's servicing bill and how the competition was going; Kaleb is slightly dismayed at the results, with Clarkson in the lead with an £8,240 profit.

->''We return to Diddly Squat to find the farm in turmoil. The Council has shut down the restaurant, the weather is making planting crops impossible and costs are on the up. [[Creator/JeremyClarkson Jeremy]] needs to formulate a new plan to get his farm through the year.''
-->-- Synopsis

It is now August 2022; Clarkson gets the viewers up to speed on what has happened since the last season of ''Series/ClarksonsFarm'', describing it as "familiar", "bucolic" and "wonderful", but that everything that could go wrong behind the scenes went wrong. For instance, the ground is parched and unconducive to plant in due to an extreme dry spell; one such crop affected were Clarkson's potatoes, which were too small to properly harvest even with Kaleb's machinery. Similarly, due to the dry spell, Clarkson's sunflowers are deemed nowhere near ready to harvest, a disproportionately small amount of echium is harvested from a field compared to wheat from the same area and that it would be impossible to plant the next year's harvest of rapeseed.

As is typical with the farm this was not the only of Clarkson's problems; a mere six weeks after his restaurant opened, the council serves Clarkson with an enforcement notice regarding the restaurant, forcing its closure. Clarkson discusses the enforcement notice with a bewildered Alan and Charlie, with Alan lamenting about the issue. With the restaurant now closed, there was no means to maintain the upkeep of the cows; Clarkson decides to send the heifers off for slaughter while keeping the calves for fattening, while Clarkson, Charlie and Kaleb lament about the cows. One of the cows Clarkson was forced to send off was Pepper, the cow he had adopted as a pet on impulse just mere weeks ago; after a video of some misbehaving cows shot by Lisa is shown, a very distraught Clarkson and Lisa go and have a tea break.

With the majority of the cows gone, Clarkson's "eco-farming" plan involving both his cows and hens was thrown into disarray.
