Comes in two main flavors: 1) When a geographical location is depicted in an exaggerated or overly simplistic format, and 2) Presented as only a collection of stereotypes and cliches (this variation being more typical). May be justified in cases where a few aspects of the location are the only things widely known about it, and any story about or featuring that location is likely to mention those aspects.
