I know a rogue squadron* member can absolutely melt trash mobs

"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaRegarding Il Mheg clowning on the Eulmoran army, that's kind of the point? The force of a united Il Mheg has kept Eulmore from trying to annex it for a century. The pixies alone can turn you into shrubbery with a wave of their hands. The Fuath can turn any puddle into a bottomless drowning pit. Even the Nu Mou are armed with deadly curses and casually dangle people from lethal heights for fun when slighted.
Then there's Titania, who has all of the fae's powers combined into a Reality Warper Physical God who can summon familiars as large as Sephirot.
So it's little wonder that the fae crushed Ran'jit's expeditionary force once the Faerie King returned.
I do wonder if the Garlean army could beat the fairies there.
If the cold steel weakness applies to them, then the Garleans would steamroll them with ease.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Potentially if they carpet bomb the place, but I can easily see Titania returning fire given what Feo Ul does to the airborne sin eaters at Mt. Gulg while venting about WoL not calling on them enough.
I'm talking if they roll in into Mheg with Magitek reapers, warmachina, and potentially the WEAPONS.
Could the Fairy magic affect the Magitek metal? Like we know that Garlean metallurgy is pretty impressive and already made to counter the aether using races on the source so I think even Titania with their power would have a problem.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. There's no particular reason to believe that fae magic can't affect metal any more than any other magic can. They've never expressed a weakness to iron and Titania can magically nuke an invading force with any of their rune magic or Being Mortal.

Of course until like a bunch of horrifying mechanical spiders and such swarm Titania or whatever. The fey are capricious and dangerous but I don't really see them as inherently more threatening or powerful then any other magic wielding civilization.
Titania is basically a Primal, more or less
Song of the SirensGarlemald could do it if their leader is someone like Gaius who won't just throw men at the problem and would actually bring in big guns to overwhelm the fae with constant bombardment.
But even then, any ground invasion would incur heavy losses unless Il Mheg is bombed into oblivion first. Even the mighty legatii can be turned to topiary with a flick of a pixie's wrist. And there isn't necessarily any warning for this to happen. A guy can turn around and all of his friends are suddenly shrubbery.
But in the end, even if Garlemald developed cross-rift travel, there isn't anything in Il Mheg for the Garleans to take. Garlemald would likely give the fae a wide berth as they did with the Xaela of the Azim Steppe. It simply isn't worth the time and trouble.
Remember, the myths of the Fae had them weak to steel AKA Cold Iron, so it's not unreasonable to assume FF XIV have that weakness.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Eh, I don't see that following. Fae myths are generalized and there's no real indication that the Norvrandt fae are hard-bound by any mythological rules anyway.
If the cold iron thing held true you'd think it would be mentioned specifically by Urianger or one of the twins as being important to be careful with, to avoid upsetting the fae while the Scions still need their help to reach Titania.
It's been fun.And even then, Titania's powers border on reality warping. She casually creates a path that is akin to a teleportation portal during the Gauntlet of Heroes, without making any effort, so she could do the same to send whatever projectiles were aimed at Il Mheg towards...anything really, including the armies that sent them.
Man, we should call them to help us out more.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. They say the same thing, however they are pissed off at us for not doing that.
If I recall correctly when Feo Ul is giving the other pixies grief about being unhelpful they mentioned scattering our belongings all over Lydra Lhran to punish them and specifically call out the "Cold, hard iron" we keep on our person, so it's a total throw-away line but does seem to imply it's unpleasant for them to be around

Yeah, it's weird you'd think the WOL would be more receptive to calling for help from our branch.
Titania might be TOO OP for the plot, and maybe their power is limited outside of Mheg, but surely they can contribute as much as a single Scion member in a fight.
Ah, so the pixies might be vulnerable to Garlean metals then.

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I think we would need to see whether it's in the original script, or if it was one of many Koji Fox adlibs that was made to sound Shakespearian.
Well it does have some validity considering our weapons are effective against the pixies, particularly Titania 1.0.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. It was as effective against them as it is against basically everything else we fight.
As effective as Fire IV is to kill Ifrit.
After reaching level 50 as a ninja I have acquired three of the five level-three materia I need to get through the level 50 crafting quests. Now I just need to get a scholar to level 50 and I can get the last two.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.has this been shared before (probably)
scream is basically a early/mid-2000s emo rock anyway
Song of the SirensI keep looking at the official art for the different classes and thinking it should be evenly distributed among the different races.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult. The whole reason the cast is as it is is because they took the popular characters of 1.0 and essentially promoted them to party member status. Then just kept promoting the most popular characters to what we have now.
I seem to remember that Squadron dungeons was the optimal way to level up if you invest time in the teammates (to level up their skills) and learn how to teach their dumb asses to do some mechs.
Their stats are frankly absurd, they can erase enemies if you have the right classes.
