Amazing.
I imagine a Vampire Survivors animated show to have almost 0 to do with the game TBH. It'd be part of the joke.
We'll know in a few months, I can't remember what the ETA on the first episode is.
Edit: Oh wait you said you imagine one, well, you don't really need to

There was an update to the game today that added a few new things to unlock. Looks like we have (spoilering for those who prefer to go in blind): a new character, a new map, new relics, and a new weapon.
The new weapon is pretty neat, I'm glad it adds more incentive to go into "freeze enemy" builds because of how strong it gets, I had actually Sealed the Orologians because I was tired of them slowing down wave spawns because of the "frozen corpses not despawning so more enemies don't show up" interaction.
Geez, the evolved forms of the "joke" characters are all really freaky, and this latest one is no exception. They seem to be getting weirder if anything. At first it was skeleton -> giant skeleton. Not too bad. Then it was panda -> cosmic star bear. Now it's dog -> sun-faced nature god surrounded by foliage.
Disgusted, but not surprisedNew DLC coming in about two weeks! Space-themed... and a crossover with Among Us. What the actual heck!?
...I mean, I'd complain that the Crewmates don't really fit the rich and unique character of the Vampire Survivors franchise, except some of the playable characters in the base game include a bipedal panda, roaming question mark, derpy King Ghidorah, and a tree.
Current earworm: "A New Journey"Yeah, that ship sailed...well, from the start. Only the starting roster of Vampire Survivor characters are clear Castlevania expies. Things get weird after you unlock a few more.
Disgusted, but not surprisedGod I hope the animated Vampire Survivors series looks like that trailer.
I ended up having to look up how to get the new secret character, it's kinda obtuse.
For those wanting the spoilers: over however many runs, Queen Sigma specifically needs to take any of the teleport doors in the Astral Stair 46 times, then it will bring you to a coffin with the new character.
I'm just not an among us fan so this is like Fortnite adds X random character okay but Space age Scif fi stage is something i'd love more games to do
Cyber Dark where Cyberpunk meets Cosmic Occult Horror!
I mean its source inspiration has its long fair share of Jokey Goofy enemies and playable characters.
Like the Triathlon Skeleton you have to use a time slowdown so you can attempt to kill him cause he'll crash into the wall and kill himself if you don't kill him first....
just so you can get the rare skill of turning into a ohko bear
or my favorite Skeleton Kamen Rider.. complete with Scarf and RED HOT KICK!
Playable wise we have Pumpkin Kid

hey dont forget the angry falcon, the androgynous witch trapped in the basement of a bunch of time travellers, a tanuki with huge nuts, and a dragon-dinosaur spine thing that hucks a sword at people
hail, holy queen of the sea, you're whirling-in-rags, you're vast and you're sadFor those wanting the spoilers: over however many runs, Queen Sigma specifically needs to take any of the teleport doors in the Astral Stair 46 times, then it will bring you to a coffin with the new character.
I got the unlock by accident, doing something different. I spent about 10 minutes leveling up in the starter area before entering my first door, lingered in the next room until my weapons were ready to evolve, then pushed forward through the end of the route. I backtracked one room from the dead end, noticed I'd left a treasure chest behind, went back through the last door and was suddenly in a void with the coffin.
Current earworm: "A New Journey"Every millennial friend group got that
Absolute destiny... apeachalypse?Apparently it doesn't have to be Queen Sigma herself but just that you have a character that has gone through the doors a the required number of times all together cause Dex got it like on door 13 with Red death
The DLC is officially out, and it's on sale for even cheaper than it should be right now, definitely go get it while you can.
First impression on the new weapons is that they're all pretty strong, but the Paranormal Scanner is by far the most broken weapon that this game has ever had, to the point I'm really expecting to see it get nerfed.
Agree that the Paranormal Scanner is the most powerful new weapon in this dlc. Not actually a huge fan of the rest of the weapons, though I do like how the little minions you need to upgrade them free up a slot after you upgrade their respective weapons.
Disgusted, but not surprisedI like the spear tongue. Its evolution specifically targeting the enemy with the most health is honestly really nice. Most of the others are kinda gimmicky and the evolutions are kinda unhelpful. The vent, notably, makes strong monsters take way longer to beat. The beans are neat passives, but only really worth taking for the evolutions.
You also keep the passive from the minion
New DLC coming on May 9th. A crossover with Konami's... Contra, called Operation Guns :p
NOW this is the kinda stupid i can get behind!
also loving that we're getting slowly but surely full body art of each character XD
I see people pointing out the SURELY intentional irony that Poncle actually managed to touch base with Konami directly and licensed a crossover for one of their series and it isn't Castlevania.
What just Fang? Where Sheena and her Ax Laser at!?
Seriously though this is gonna be EPIC. if any game could use a spread shot it's Vampire Survivors.
Apropos of nothing, I was scrolling and found out that an Orchestra recently did cover of a few songs, the ones they picked all sound really good in full orchestration.
