Considering Meganium can learn Reflect and Light Screen, it definitely wouldn't surprise me if Meganium the Unrivaled ended up being a Stone Wall type of raid. Guess we'll have to wait and see what the raid ends up being like.
I can imagine its special trick is that it starts off the raid with both along with a Tera shield.
On top of throwing in Rest.

Disgusted, but not surprisedYeah, I've seen some good builds in fangames where Meganium is used as a reflect and light screen user.
But it still isn't enough to save it.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Think AI Tauros has Raging Bull, so that might be really helpful here.
So I guess TPC/Gamefreak considers Pecharunt a Mythical Pokemon, since it's banned from VGC even with a restricted format.
Yeah, Pecharunt is a mythical Pokemon, it's stats and design invoke tropes associated with mythicals.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Plus it was explicitly called a mythical in marketing.
And it needs a downloadable item to access (meaning that the window of opportunity is equal to switch server support)
I've definitely seen how certain moves become much more annoying when a raid Pokemon uses it, especially since raid battles differ a bit from regular Pokemon battles. I'm expecting Meganium the Unrivaled to have at least one rather annoying mechanic to overcome that you'd never have to worry about when facing another player's Meganium.
Man, how horrid would it be if Meganium's gimmick is that it's constantly healing itself AND it starts out with shields up? Add in the inflated HP pool that Unrivaled raids tend to have, and yikes...
I'm not expecting Meganium to be the next Mewtwo the Unrivaled, but I am bracing myself for something to become that one annoying wall to overcome, especially for someone who enjoys trying to beat raids solo.

Found out something the hard way. Ditto’s imposter ability does not work if it is Terastialized. I don’t know about transform itself but this lack of knowledge cost me a game. I’m not hung up but I just thought I’d drop this bit of knowledge.
I should really rethink my Battle Spot doubles team.
I actually do think Meganium will start setting up Light Screen and Reflect begore the players even get to move. If they wanna be really dickish about it, put up the Tera Shield too.
Worse, I bet it is one of those raids with a 100% Tera shield. As in it covers the whole health bar.

Disgusted, but not surprisedProbably not 100% HP shield, but yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if it starts the shield right at the beginning alongside setting up screens.
I'm betting it will have Sunny Day too so it can use Leaf Guard. And the boost to Fire moves won't be an issue for it due to the Psychic Tera type.
Bonus points since a Sunny Day would let it spam Solar Beam.

Disgusted, but not surprisedSunny Day + Leaf Guard, thankfully, means it won't have Rest. The move will fail when used under that combo.
Meganium can also learn Ingrain, but I think that's one of its egg moves, so Meganium the Unrivaled might not have it as one of their raid moves...hopefully.
Ah right, Synthesis.....
That being said though, did we ever have an Unrivaled raid that has a healing move, particularly something that heals a lot in one go? If not, then maybe Meganium won't have healing move either, 7 star raid tends to be already enough of a challenge without the healing.

Mewtwo the Unrivaled was programmed to use Rest once, even holding a Berry that allows them to instantly wake up from Sleep. Lots of players ended up bringing Pokemon that could set Sleep-preventing Terrain just to make sure Mewtwo couldn't heal up after all that work to break their shield.

Meganium is live.
Starts with Dual Screens and has Curse as part of it’s main set.
Edit: Took a few tries, but I managed to get it. Meganium is our third female Unrivaled Pokémon.

I knew the Dual Screens were coming.
It honestly barely mattered, Curse seems to be the biggest troublemaker for people in this raid.
Any good strategies come out regarding Meganium yet?
"Hey, gimme a minute to get to know everyone, 'kay, Brainy?" "Of course, but please allow me to get a word in, too, bzz."Skill Swap Contrary Malamar and Tera Ghost Unaware Skeledirge.

I could see the Meganium Raid being a race against the clock due to Rest.
Disgusted, but not surprised
