Well, if characters from the Fairly OddParents will eventually show up as DLC in NASB2 (or maybe NASB3), and if Trixie Tang is confirmed to be one of the playable characters representing the Fairly OddParents, I can already imagine Kari Wahlgren (Chloe Carmichael's VA) voicing her.

All of the "Final Smashes" are on Youtube apparently.
Just found out about this. Maybe scheduling conflicts?
But then, it turns out they got Suzie Yeung as Azula and...let's just say she has experience as a certain other big bad girl boss that's shown up in a certain recent anime.
Like, whoa.
Smite also had Azula voiced by Megan Shipman, aka Anya Forger, among other roles.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonIf this means we’re going to have a lot of fanart of sharply dressed Azula then I’m okay with that.
Help me. I can't get it out of my head. It's a weird situation with Avatar characters. Aang is understandable but not only Azula was recast, so was Korra this game.
And in the kart racing game Zuko also got recast. Something weird is going on with Avatar.
Uni catEveryone is transitioning from Smash to this due to the aforementioned shenanigans. I heard the Switch version is awful though. Doubt I’ll pickup a copy with that in mind. I don’t get why third party developers insist on releasing games on the system.
Regardless, the competitive scene is booming and I expect tournaments to start popping up. What are your thoughts?
...Because the Switch pretty much prints money?? Honestly it'd be sillier if they didn't release it on the Switch (I remember people were extremely confused that MultiVersus didn't release on the console and there still has been no word if the game will be coming to it once it fully launches.)
For the record, the devs have acknowledged the port's performance issues and Loads and Loads of Loading and are already working on them. I think I may wait until the patch has been released before I pick the game up myself, though.

"Hey, gimme a minute to get to know everyone, 'kay, Brainy?" "Of course, but please allow me to get a word in, too, bzz."I guess it's a good thing my Switch charger mysteriously disappeared. Hopefully by the time my replacement comes, the patches will work their magic.
It's been 3000 years…(3)
I'm not exactly thrilled.
While I've heard some of the tournaments are done for charitable causes, I hear a lot more about the toxicity and sexism that emerges from fighting game communitire.
I'm not happy there's going to be a community/tier of players who consider themselves "advanced/non-casual" players in a game where you control Cat Dog abd Spongebob, or that the game will fall into that loop of consistent patching per the whim of what's better for competitive play > over nostalgia and casual fun either.

Dr. Amigo es diosAs opposed to the games where you played as Mario and Link, Marvel Superheroes, DC Superheroes, Goku and friends, or Bugs Bunny?
How mainstream the characters are really doesn't stop a competitive scene from forming unless the gameplay is super simplified like the Naruto games.
Not a fan of those scenes either.
Multiversus especially is a train wreck. Turns out when you design a game with an esports-first mentality leads to a lot of problems even when you have the densest available roster on the planet.
Smash Bros has a gated community of elite players called Smash Backrooms. I find the idea of that abhorrent.
Marvel vs Capcom is a gray area for me. The plot/endings were always barebones, its definitely not in the same tier of success and esports focused development that most mascot/platform fighters are. The larger problem was trying to have synergy with the MCU rather than trying to join esports.

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).I mean, to be fair in the cases of Smash and mvc, all of that really is beyond the control of the developers and moreso of the community itself, so the games themselves don't really have the blame of that. And really at the end of day, wether the developer or not intended to be a serious competitive scene, I feel like nowadays that's just inevitable with almost any kind of fighting game, heck, if you want a more out there example, just take a look at Shrek Superslam.

Dr. Amigo es diosI think you overestimate how big esports is for anything but the most popular of games.
You could meet a top fighting game player walking down the street and never have a clue. It was true for the first NASB, and unless this one sells like twice as much, it'll be true for this one too.
To be honest, and I'm probably in the minority here, but I didn't like the roster for Multi Versus. It was just too broad — there was no theme tying it together. Like, Smash started as a celebration of Nintendo's history, and expanded into a celebration of gaming history in general, while MV was just "cram everything we own into a big pile and make it a platform fighter."

Just so you know, Mr. Krabs' moveset is starting to leak online. Be careful.
2 is free through Sunday on Steam, Xbox, and PS if anybody is interested.
"Hey, gimme a minute to get to know everyone, 'kay, Brainy?" "Of course, but please allow me to get a word in, too, bzz."Zuko Spotlight
Oooh! Now we got Zuko in the mix!
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Ooh, interesting that he has what is effectively a Falcon Punch.
Do we know anything about the release order for the remaining two characters?
Well there goes a Day 1 impulse purchase from me.
