Salt incoming. Some sources claim the following DLC characters are gonna be

Mr. Krabs, Zuko, Iroh, Rocksteady

Some choices alright. 3 firebenders while removing the only earthbender feels wrong, even if i love Iroh and Zuko.

Although I love Zuko and Iroh to bits too and would be happy with Mr. Krabs and Rocksteady as well, those do feel like some pretty basic choices as far as DLC goes. Though on the one hand, Mr. Krabs' addition would mean that characters who are in the background of stages could still be added to the roster (giving Helga and Lincoln fans some hope that they could still be (re-)added).

Oh no, there are too many fire users now.

Since the first game had Garfield and Shredder as free updates post-launch because they were cut from the launch roster due to time constraints, is there any chance that could happen again this time, at least for some of the veterans? They could pair up the remaining turtles (for obvious reasons), PTM and Hugh (the meme picks), and/or Helga and Oblina.

So here’s Reptar’s showcase. Reptar looks great as usual, but there are also a lot of alts shown here. Is that Shadow Garfield??

Did Reptar have ice skates in the first game? I only played a little bit of it.

I love that he has them, either way. Excellent reference.

We've got our first look at the campaign! We can see some of the bosses (which, aside from Vlad, includes the likes of King Jellyfish, the Flying Dutchman, and Shredder (RIP), Jenny's mom can augment your characters' abilities (an example is shown of SpongeBob's bubbles being able to freeze opponents), we get what the mode's map itself actually looks like, and some familiar faces who appear as NPCs during the campaign, such as Mrs. Puff, Frida, and even the Cabbage Merchant.

RIP Powdered Toast Man; it appears that he mans a shop in the campaign (look at the far right of the screen at 0:20 just before the screen transitions).

EDIT: The Mr. Krabs leak was real! Expect him, Zuko, Iroh, and Rocksteady at some point in 2024.

DLC pass 1 revealed

Mr. Krabs, Zuko, Rocksteady and Iroh are going to be DLC. Krabs is next early 2024.

Gotta say, dissapointing AF

Question is will Mr. Krabs be voiced by someone NOT named Clancy Brown?

I mean, why wouldn't he be voiced by Brown? He did voice Krabs in latest spongebob game.

The only times we've gotten recastings for this game are for actors who were either retired or passed away.

Out of the new cast, that'd only affect Gerald, I think.

I mean, Rocksteady is cool and all, but to remove THE villain of the series with essentially a villain side kick? That just doesn't look right. Like kicking Bowser out of Smash and putting Kamek instead.

Rep has made it abundantly clear that appearing in the background of a stage should not be taken as a deconfirmation.

One of the other devs has also teased another four new characters in the making!

I feel like Leonardo and Michelangelo should be the chief people to bring back, because it feels really weird to not have all four Ninja Turtles.

Does G.I.R. have a new VA? I ask because he sounds off in the campaign trailer.

It's still the same VA. For some reason they didn't pitch up his voice.

Well, there's Zuko! And Iroh too? I mean, these are fan favorites and all, but I feel that's a bit too many Firebenders.

And we finally get Korra, who has also been substantially reworked.

Reviews are starting to come out and they are trending very positive, many reviews saying that it's an Even Better Sequel to the first game (though I'm seeing reports of the Switch version specifically having performance issues).

Apparently, Azula got recast, despite them letting Grey Griffin reprise her role as Frida from El Tigre, which is an odd choice.
