Why is GameMill still publishing those Nickelodeon games and not THQ Nordic by now, I have no idea.
(I hope GameMill gets purchased by THQ Nordic someday...)
Despite that, the character roster so far looks pretty impressive, and the choices make sense (like Helga Pataki, Reptar, and so on). Hope either Kitty Katswell or Dudley Puppy (or both) from T.U.F.F. Puppy will make it into the roster. Or, even better, Manny or Frida from El Tigre.
Too bad they didn't pick the 2012 or a Rise Turtle, really.
Wonder if Timmy, Jimmy or Jenny will make it in, honestly.
Wake me up at your own risk.Ludosity... aren't those the Slapcity guys? THEY'RE THE ONES MAKING THIS GAME?

Nigel, Powdered Toast Man, and Oblina are very odd picks but I love it.
It's been 3000 years…Amusingly, this game is reported to have rollback netcode for improved online play.
Considering major titles like Dragon Ball Fighterz and even Smash don't have it, this is...really surprising.
Apparently this poster Nick made back in 2019 was teasing this game the whole time.

SoundCloudI like them adding Reptar as a rugrats rep so we didn't have to beat up babies.
They could've gone with the All Grown Up! versions, though.
Nah, Reptar is a MUCH better choice.
Also Powdered Toast Man WTF that's awesome.
To say the team has a lot of characters to pick from is understating it, and we're still getting some hilariously left-field includes. I'm 100% here for it.
Either Aang or Korra is a given though, right? Any chance of XJ9?
This Twitter thread shows the box art with the characters in silhouette. From this, it’s clear that Cat Dog, Ren and Stimpy, and Korra are in as well.
It's been 3000 years…Avatar seems to have a weird relationship with games in general, it seems. I could totally see everyone but Aang in this.

Aang has been a playable fighter in a plentiful amount of these games before. Being a Technical Pacifist have never stopped him, and the dude's in Smite.

You can clearly see Aang's hand underneath Korra too.
Apparently a few competitive Smash players have been analyzing the footage and already found some advanced tech hidden in it too.
It would be nice if Smash Bros have an actual competition but I seriously doubt that'll be the case with this game. Even if there's evidence that it'll (at the very least) not be a cheap cash grab. At least I hope that's the case. Then again, Rivals of Aethers exists for some time so there's that.
Even if this game can't rise to the level of actually competing with Smash, I hope it's competent enough to at least get Nintendo to look this way and learn at least one thing that they can do better.
SoundCloudI might actually get this game for the hilarity factor.
I do hope that we’ll get more characters. One of the reasons I got Nickelodeon Grand Prix was because of the amount of classic characters like Angelica or Ren or Danny.
I kinda want the hilarity of, say, Angelica vs. Shredder in this game. That’s a major part of Smash’s appeal. I’m talking specifically about having someone like Angelica Pickles beat up someone like Shredder.

You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!Yea, that would be nice if Smash Bros had some competition. No one really seems to acknowledge ROA's existence. In hindsight, I kinda wish that was the case with PS All-Stars.
Angelica VS Shredder
Now that's a concept.
Speaking of which, as much I was hoping for all 4 TMNT to be each rep by their animated series, if they're going to just copy & past Leo's & Mikey's design then Donny & Ralph better be in the game.

All four of the Turtles are pretty much always freely playable in all of their video game appearances, I don't think this will be different.
It's been 3000 years…I suppose I don't really have the right to be annoyed if I'm not even going to buy the game day 1.
I literally made an Angelica Mii for Smash specifically because of the hilarity of, say, Angelica vs. Sephiroth.
Got Ninja’d. Ironic since the above posts are talking about TMNT.

You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life! Was classic TMNT ever shown on Nickelodeon? Cause AFAIK, that one wasn't one of the TMNT shows that aired on Nick.
Maybe reruns but i wonder why classic turtles from the 80 cartoons. Maybe nostalgia?
Uni catI don't think it ever aired on Nick, so I'd chalk it up to brand recognition. The '80s cartoon is far and away the most widely remembered version of the Turtles, and there's no currently ongoing version they could promote (the 2012 series ended a few years ago, and Rise only has an upcoming movie on Netflix).
Pinball cleanup threadSpeaking of the crossover hilarity, this game has the TMNT. (I hope Donny and Raph are the Rise incarnations)
The TMNT are also in Brawlhalla.
Shovel Knight is in Brawlhalla.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has Shovel Knight.
Spongebob Squarepants and Sephiroth have three degrees of seperation.
That only reminds me how confusing crossover terms can be.
I could never really get immersed with the Miis with a few exceptions. It's too bad they don't have the same system as the Miitopia one.
Well to be completely fair, the Turtles don't always act like ninjas.
Maybe reruns but i wonder why classic turtles from the 80 cartoons. Maybe nostalgia?
I'm not sure if the show ever ran on Nick but I do know that the Classic TMNT had a couple of crossover with the CG one & a few cameos in Rise.

We don't have a full list of characters just yet, but we know that the game will feature:
