In a similar vein to Character Pages, Recap Pages are a near-constant source of problems and controversy. One of the biggest issues we have with them is that there's not a lot of consistency with how they're made. Some have images, others don't. Some are fleshed out, others are a mess of redlinks or even plain-text, with no actual recap pages to speak of.
In addition, there's also been debates about spoilers and what sort of tropes belong on them, whether or not they need their own YMMV pages...and let's face it, for the most part their quality is about as poor as any 2012-era work page, except many are a lot newer than that, just tucked away where very few people will see them.
So, after ages of considering this thread, I finally broke down and made the damn thing. Without further ado, let's get to work.

I may have missed this, but do we have an agreed list of subpage types that can accompany a specific recap page?
- I know Laconic is banned
- I've definitely seen WMG, Trivia, YMMV, Fridge, Headscratchers, Awesome, Heartwarming and Quotes. Plus video examples linked to the recap rather than the main work page.
Do we need to formalise some of this?

and this was pending since here. I personally believe there's no reason for Recap/ to have subpages unless parent subpages are too-long, but the decision would be best for the latter link.
Video examples are not real pages so there's no issue with them, they normally link to both pages.

I think I'll ping ~TheAmazingBlachman here regarding Recap.Higurashi Watanagashi.
The policy on this isn't clear (there's a discussion on it here
), but recaps are recaps, meaning short summaries of key events, a minimum required for an unfamiliar reader to guess what tropes could have been used. I wouldn't claim how it was before was ideal, but it was about 1 desktop screen height in size. I see it now has expanded almost 12 times and keeps growing closer to effectively being a substitute to the original novel itself. So it'd probably worth another discussion regarding how much is needed.
