Chapter 57 is out. Mixing a westaboo with a Yamato Nadeshiko is genius. Always love these little twists that make the girls so memorable.

Dog-suit Mei and Princess Shizuka start things off with a hefty dose of cuteness.

I’ll say Karane had the best outfit. Simple and frilly. I’m a big fan of the big tube of not-formalin though.

This chapter was filled to the brim with gags, it’s honestly kind of incredible. The test tube mouth-to-mouth relay was probably the funniest.

Chapter 60: Rentarou gets upstaged as the best boyfriend. Iku is so cool.
Chapter 62: Fans have been clamoring for an idol girlfriend… well here’s 13 of them. Complete with an idolmaster for the cover page.
Naddy has been really growing on me. Her blush at being called a Yankee doodle is just precious.
Mei gets the hilariously awesome moment this chapter when she slaps the instructor’s face in retaliation to her slapping Hahari.
As expected Rentarou steps up to the role of idol trainer. I’m sincerely looking forward to their performance!

Chapter 63: How petty do you have to be to drag idols with fractured bones out of the hospital for the sole purpose of sabotaging an amateur idol event?
Uncle Hiro has a great dynamic with Rentarou, I actually want him to show up more often. Madman also brought dolls of himself and Rentarou so they could act like an entire crowd of fans.
Holy shit Hakari’s thirst knows no bounds.

I haven't comment in this thread in a while, but I have been keeping up in the background.
Glad Iku got that focus chapter, Naddy-Sensei is amazing and instantly hit my Top 5 favorites, Hakari keeps having the killer lines like her reaction to Hahari's freedom outfit, and the line she dropped this chapter.
This idol mini-arc has been great. Although, this does feel like the longest gap yet between girlfriends not that that's necessarily a bad thing but this series has to walk a tight rope when it comes to pacing characters.

Hakari’s comment on her mother’s schoolgirl getup was savage as heck. Considering what she was wearing, though I’m not sure she was in any position to criticize.
I actually think it works that the pacing between new girlfriends has been unpredictable.

Oh right, the Vol. 6 extras have Nakamura's afterword which says
Vol. 6 contains both the Hairpocalypse and Karane arcs. I think the author means Karane's arc but Hairpocalypse makes more sense as the "huge spectacle."
I figure an anime adaptation could simply switch the Tsundere Unmaker and Hairpocalypse arcs around. Wouldn’t affect the chronology much.
The Mimimi and Kusuri shiritori was hilarious. And Meido actually tried to get Rentarou wrapped up at the mall’s gift-wrapping counter.
Does anyone see this getting an adaptation? It wouldn’t get Western money given how people tend to react to this genre.
Not a huge issue, most studios create their anime for the Japanese audience.

for a February 2022 physical/digital release of Vol. 1.
It's labeled for mature readers and is on their Ghost Ship print. Which...yeah. Hahari.

This was a reference heavy chapter, but the two standout ones to me is doubling down on Robin's "I Want to Live" declaration by having Kurumi even closer resembling One Piece's artstyle and the Eren/Armin/Mikasa stand-ins at the end.
Meme hiding under Shizuka’a skirt was too darn adorable.
