So Bad, It's Horrible is one of the more flame-bait-y parts of the site, so a cleanup thread is needed to ensure that works aren't added simply because someone doesn't like them.
If you want to list a work under this, keep the following in mind:
- The work must have very few fans or defenders (both genuine and ironic). It should fail to appeal to any type of audience.
- Being offensive in its subject matter isn't enough.
- It isn't horrible just because a certain critic disliked it, though their reviews can be used as sources and citations.
- The work should have notably poor reviews (e.g., less than 3/10 on IMDb, or single digit scores on Rotten Tomatoes)
- Please be polite while writing and as much as possible, avoid falling into Complaining About Shows You Don't Like. Instead, focus on explaining why the work is horrible.

It's more of a personal Take That! since the Sonic franchise is highly inconsistent in quality to a degree that it is frankly just getting sad. Genesis was released alongside Sonic 06 so Sonic didn't have much of a reputation to burn on launch. Blizzard used to be known for top-of-the-line games so the response to Warcraft 3 Reforged was positively nuclear.

Why waste time when you can see the last sunset last?Yeah, but how long ago was that? Seems like it can’t exactly be a distinguishing trait at this point.
SoundCloudSonic Genesis is bad because it's nigh-unbearable to actually play, Reforged is bad because of a bunch of stupid decisions made by Blizzard about its release.
Looks like the Good Times animated reboot on Netflix has the potential to be So Bad, It's Horrible, condensing the 11% Rotten Tomatoes critic score, a 3.8 on IM Db, a ton of negative videos and articles about it with people finding very little redeeming about it, and hell even the families of Eric Monte and Mike Evans hated this reboot, it's worth keeping an eye on until we can add it on May 13th.

I found two Steam Games that seem to fit the trope: Mesozoica (23% positive ratings) and Edge of Space (32% positive ratings).
To be specific:
Mesozoica was billed as a Spiritual Successor to Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis. The Kickstarter for it was back in 2015 and the first Early Access version was released in 2018. Almost immediately, the Steam page was flooded with negative reviews citing the poor animal AI; lack of tutorial; unintuitive and unnecessarily complicated controls and UI; an unfulfilled promise of ninety different dinosaurs, with only nineteen making it to the Early Access release; ugly guest models; lootbox mechanics; mediocre gameplay; and barren landscapes. The developers did not endear themselves to the customers by announcing a development hiatus...in less than six months after the early access release, while fixing few, if any of the previously mentioned problems. What finally killed the game was the subsequent lack of updates and silence of the developers after said hiatus, which caused many to believe the game was a fraud.
Edge of Space was touted as a science-fiction take on Terraria. It quickly got hit with negative reviews citing its poor UI and controls; low resolution models for the character, enemies and background; bad aiming controls for the weapons and tools; excessive difficulty; unbalanced nature; and large amounts of unfinished and placeholder content. None of these issues were fixed before the game was taken out of Early Access and into full release. Rather understandably, a lot of people were upset by the developers releasing an Obvious Beta as a full release. Further angering people was the Steam store page claiming “Continual Support – Regular post-launch updates will bring fresh new content”, even after it was obvious that development had stopped in January of 2016 with the community manager leaving and their social media and Steam going silent. The deathblow for the game came about when it emerged that the game was featured in a Humble Indie Bundle in May of 2016, just a month after the developers made a plea for the customers to be patient…while not fixing any of the problems. This action was widely seen by many as an unethical way for the developers to get every last bit of money they could out of the game before completely abandoning it.

I'm kind of mixed on the Good Times reboot myself. As negative as the attention towards it seems to be, it seems to fall into the Velma camp of awful reboots getting stomped on by the internet, where there could very potentially be a genuine audience lurking outside the voluminous cries against the show. However, I also wouldn't be opposed to adding it when the 30-day mark comes around, especially if a genuine fanbase is incredibly sparse or just outright cannot be found.
Sincerely, LumberwoodAlso, the Good Times criticism I've seen around is all like "it's bad because yes" with someone claiming it's racist but never elaborating on the problem.
The best character is always the one-shot disguise. The new horror movie Tarot might be worth keeping an eye on. 6% and going down on RT.
Pity, I liked the monster designs a lot.
Isnèt that the one Slimyswampghost did design for?
Yep. A shame, because he's a very good character designer. I still love the pic on Creepy Good.
I'd like to apologize for all this.I've watched the first six episodes of the reboot, and it's flat-out racist since a few out of the 10 episodes demonize white people, especially the fourth episode featuring Elon Musk who is white and has unfunny offensive jokes about criminal black people like Bill Cosby and R. Kelly.
Offensive does not equal horrible.
Welcome to Ideal's WorldConsensus to add Mesozoica and Edge of Space to the video games category of So Bad, It's Horrible?
What about the horrible choppy animation despite being done by Studio Moshi Animation which is sad since there are media animated by that animation studio that have way better-looking animation than this choppy animated reboot, and the fact that this reboot is more of a Black Family Guy clone (which is ironic since the show's creator Seth Mac Farlane was involved in this reboot as an executive producer) rather than a Good Times reboot since it has almost no connection to the original 1970s sitcom aside from the occasional mentions of James Evans.
I'm thinking of adding the Erie Canal Soda Pop Festival (known informally as the Bull Island Rock Festival) to the Music - Festivals page. Basically, it was intended as the Woodstock of the Midwest, but instead became the Woodstock '99 of the 1970s. This video by Dark Records goes into more detail on the subject.
My last post got buried under other discussion, so I'd like to get more opinions on if "Thirsty" should be removed from Horrible.Music Songs or not (essentially, there's evidence that the song has a fairly positive response from fans, so it isn't bad enough to be SBIH). Thoughts?
Y'ALL JUST GOT SHREKTBoth games seem like they could fit. I looked at their Steam review pages, and in addition to having mostly negative reviews, some outright describe them as an Early Access scam.
Got it, I polished up the drafts with links to the announcements and any supporting reviews and videos (if there are any).
Though few reviews on Edge of Space exist outside the Steam page.
This was added to Horrible.Other:
- I Can't Believe It's Not Estrogen from EstroLabs was advertised as an over-the-counter supplement that increases estrogen levels, marketed towards transfeminine people in states where transgender rights and trans-affirming care were being targeted. The problem was that it contained ashwagandha, a substance that instead increases testosterone levels and is not approved for hormone replacement therapy (HRT). Bottles of the supplement were both overpricednote and overdosednote . Antifascist website Unicorn Riot investigated EstroLabs and discovered ties to far-right groups such as Patriot Front, and that the "photo" of the CEO on the website was A.I.-Generated Artwork. This suggested that the whole ruse was an attempt to scam, collect data from, or even physically harm the trans community, as evidenced by the site later selling merchandise with slogans such as "Oops! All Testosterone".
Far-right group trying to attack trans people is horrible for sure, but I feel like this falls outside of the scope of the page.

IDK, it's a product that does the opposite of what it's advertised doing; it's not too different from stuff like bad food.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessYeah if HeadOn can be listed, thos probably can be too. If it were a prescription drug it'd be different but it's an OTC product which is more in line with consumer products.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. So GameMill Entertainment published a trio of video games I like to call the "Unholy Trinity of GameMill", as they are widely considered to be some of the worst games of 2023. Skull Island: Rise of Kong and The Walking Dead: Destinies are already listed under Video Game Generations: Seventh Onwards, but Avatar: The Last Airbender: Quest for Balance is not. Is there anything setting Quest for Balance apart from Rise of Kong and Destinies that would disqualify it?
I'm lovin' it. (My Troper Wall)
It looks like it fits with the Steam ratings sitting at 27% positive, IGN giving it a 4/10, The XBox Hub giving it a 2/5.
They all cite poor combat; bad controls; tedious minigames and puzzles; poor voice acting; annoying camera; boring levels.
The reviews also state that the game fails to appeal to Avatar: The Last Airbender newbies since the adaptation of the plotline "leaves the story completely unintelligible for newcomers and totally unsatisfactory for longtime fans".
Supporting the fake estrogen supplement, if the information provided is correct. A medical product that doesn't do what it claims to do is the definition of a Horrible product.
Sonic is in the top fifteen best selling game franchises of all time, and that's not counting the animes, cartoons, and movies. I think it's really disingenuous to call Sonic "not prestigious".
Also, Blizzard's not exactly a prestigious brand nowadays either.
