I think Marcille would have if she'd noticed Falin rushing to the dungeon haha.

It's less a what-if and more Laios assumptions of his friends behaviours but even in his own imagination he can't imagine Falin leaving him behind. I will say while his imagination is probably not completely accurate I do believe that the situation would have played out differently less out the dragon digestion thing but more because the only reason they were able to get back to the dragon with zero money and supplies was because of Laios idea to be eating monsters and their coincidental meeting with Senshi. Not like it would have mattered because ultimately because he would have still gotten digested before they arrived.

Something to consider about the what-ifs is that they come from the blu-ray release of the anime, which make me think 2 things:

• 1. I would like if more were included in future releases, covering other scenarios later on in the series.

• 2. These particular what-ifs may have been written with the idea of only using the events covered by the blu-ray, and not taken into account things that happen later on. For example, since a viewer wouldn't know about Shuro being in love with Falin, he isn't taken into account for the first what-if. If that fact was available to consider, I think Falin would have been able to convince Shuro (and his retainers, who also aren't known at that point), at least to try to recover whatever they can of Laios to give him a proper burial.

So turns out Falin mentioning that Laios is good at making dog noises was foreshadowing all along.

I always did like the shapeshifter. I forgot that Laios recognized the real Marcille due to her airheadedness hahaha.

Did they ever figure out who the real Chilchuck was?

finally the catgirl appeared!

The catgirl is basically a sidequest in a series that really didn't need one, but dammit, we're getting one anyway.

Sidequest or not, she is my favourite catgirl from any series simply because of how catlike she acts at times. Also it's always nice to see implied asexual characters.

Oh sure, I don't mind at all, it's just that she is so obviously a side quest the way her story is just slid in there without really connecting to anything else in the main story like the other parties popping in do.

I like that this entire episode proved that Laios is decently considerate of how his friends act; meanwhile what they think of him ends up with three increasingly gonky idiots.

I wonder whose imagination that... for lack of a better word, yassified Marcille came from?

And yeah, it is really telling that all of the Laioses were so off and goofy, while there was one of the others that were close enough to be confusing about if they're real or not.

Hey I did get most of them right while watching the episode, except the Laioses. Really thought tall Laios was Chilchucks memory and hungry Laios from Marcilles.

I'm honestly surprised the giant Laios didn't come from Chilchuck's memory.

To be fair which memory formed which Laios would have been hard to guess. Marcille has been the most vocal about disliking the monster cuisine so she would have been the obvious choice for imagining loony Laios.

Yeah, I got that confused, too. And I think Yas Marcille is supposed to look like a witch.

I remember seeing Yas Marcille be called an Elder Scrolls elf.
