I can tell Dominique is going to get along quite well with Zangetsu.

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. So I know the Switch port of Ritual of the Night is garbage (or at least it was, it may have been patched by now, IDK), but what about the Curse of the Moon games? I never played the first, but I'd like to play both it and COTM2. I prefer buying Switch versions when possible, but if they're bad too then I'll just get the PS4 versions.

The first one plays great on Switch since it's just a Retraux 8-bit platformer. Can't speak for the sequel, though I haven't heard anything negative so it's probably fine.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Haven't noticed any performance issues with the Switch version of CotM 2. I highly recommend that game.

Switch it is then! Thanks.
Holy shit, i think Curse of the moon 2 might actually hit one of my top 20 games this year.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Started playing Curse of the Moon 2. Which ending to the first Curse of the Moon is supposed to be canon? Because I had thought the canon ending was the one where Zangetsu gets thrown into what I think was the future, but this game starts with Zangetsu still fighting demons in the original time period.
Don’t think about it.
@Primis: They pushed out a bunch of optimization patches a few months back, it runs so much better now.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls! For Ritual of the Night, you mean? Is it on par with the PS4 version?
Hm, picked up this when I found out that Zangetsu had been added. I then immediately ignored Zangetsu in favour of Bloodless, and after playing for a while I've run into a serious question: how on Earth do you beat the train as Bloodless? I was never any good at avoiding its attacks to start with, but then I hit it for like 8 damage. That's not going to kill the thing any time soon (on top of having to go through the entire train to get to it each time)
It seems super bizarrely low; I'd just finished with the twin dragons and they definitely weren't anywhere near so tanky.
... oh, I forgot it had armour. Whoops.
Eh, I have other places to visit before I feel forced to fight that.

Avatar SourceWhich means we probably won't get it for another two or three years, at least. But I'm glad that it's happening.
Nach jeder Ebbe kommt die Flut.Very nice to see. I'd love a return to the Ecclesia mechanics, now that the Symphony-esque style is nice and comfortable. More focused combat, less areas would be a great improvement. The map kinda burnt me out at the last 10% after getting all the plot progressing Shards.
Well I've actually tried playing this game Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night today
I really shouldn't be playing it with keyboard and mouse, right? Because I was not seeing how to perform Flashing Air Kick to any degree of consistency on keyboard.
Probably not. I don't know why you'd want to play a 2D platformer with mouse and keyboard controls anyway.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?A playable guest character is coming to Ritual of the Night... and it's Aurora from Child of Light.
Probably made more sense when they first picked her, but these days, it's just peculiar :x
Finally that music stinger has a payoff.
Bloodstained has been updated to add a new crossover area. And it's based on... Journey.
Includes a new boss fight and equippable item, and won't affect present completion rates since it's a hidden area.
Definitely not something I expected :o
Reviving the thread to post this update vid from IGA.
For those that can't watch at the moment, VS and Chaos modes are taking longer than expected due to never having done anything regarding online multiplayer before. There will be new paid outfit DLC as well as Dominque's Quest, an homage to Simon's Quest.
Help me. I can't get it out of my head.Content on Dominique? We talking the evil or good one?
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Haven't played the game in a long while, but hearing them rep Child of Light and Journey brings a smile to my face.
I kind of hope both with her becoming the sort Token Evil Teammate or something like that.

Adds co-op Chaos Mode, VS Mode, and four cosmetic packs (one free, three paid). Coming on May 9 for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, and May 16 for Switch.
They mention at the end that the Classic II mode will have to be purchased, and its release date is to be announced :o
Best friends forever.
