"more comfortable controls"? Isn't this a menu-based JRPG and not Kid Icarus Uprising?
I do believe so, it's supposed to be a throwback to the old times of Final Fantasy after all, but there's not much about the game that we know just yet.

Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!Apparentley they will be selling this as DLC for the normal game.
So odds are these changes were already adding into the western version.
Yeah, but I still wouldn't count on us getting it for sure just yet.
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!At least some of us can still enjoy the DLC. :P Sucks for foreigners seeing as how Square Enix is these days.
Anyway, the game played like your standard JRPG. Comfortable controls probably meant some of the more minor additions people requested, such as having an easier time knowing what stat problems are on your party members and what not.
The save slots + new story scenarios alone are worth the 2900 yen.
I should also clarify that the Jump article also mentioned that the director said the updated re-release is not to fund the sequel — it's because they wanted everyone to enjoy the final product of the first game before the sequel is out.

I see that they are still having "that" (if not completely). This pleases me.
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!Bah, that's a minor semantic difference - it's not as if the meaning is radically changed.
Thinking of getting this when it comes out. INT is knowing a tomato is a fruit. WIS is knowing it doesn't belong in a fruit salad. CHA is convincing people that it does.
Pretty much, which is why it pleases me.
And I am definitely buying this game. Hope it comes out on the eShop.
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!I just hope I see a copy in a local store. I've seen FFIII, FFIV but never at the same time.
INT is knowing a tomato is a fruit. WIS is knowing it doesn't belong in a fruit salad. CHA is convincing people that it does. The hidden message is still in the new title, so I'm at least glad Nintendo invested some thought into it.
So according to the official website for "For the Sequel" it confirms that it comes with an option to choose the English dub.
So this all but confirms these changes will already be in the english version of the game.
Awesome! Now all we need is a release date, and we're gold!
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!Well, we're not complaining.
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!Honestly, now I'm glad we had to wait so long for localization. We probably never would have gotten the enhanced version otherwise.
You and me both brother.
Also, dual audio is confirmed for western versions as well.
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!(Folt, I want to ask if you're the same Folt from a particular forum I used to post at, but I'm attempting to convince myself it's just a similar handle name.)
Is it wrong I want to double dip? I already own the Japanese copy and with the Japanese eShop accepting foreign credit cards, it'd cost me less to just buy the DLC expansion, yet after reading so many interviews from the devs on this title, I really do want to support them immensely seeing how motivated they are.
I dunno. That's up to you, really. I'm just gonna get the English version, preferably download, unless Bravely Default gets one heck of a limited edition.
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!That's true, did not take into account a limited edition. Though... The lack of attention Nintendo's been giving it with just a mere French demo at Japan Expo that went without any buzz to push it (many didn't seem to know there was even a demo there at all), and a no-show at Gamescom... I'm not expecting much when there isn't much push behind it.
I own the collector's pack from the Japanese release, so I'm not terribly bothered, but I'd be down for another artbook seeing as how they're introducing some new art for the new release.
(I should add that a certain image on the Ft S Japanese page is actually a spoiler, for those who are wanting to avoid them for the game.)
Man, the news of the "Sequel"-version is great! Sounds like it will be worth the wait!
Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia! We haven't gotten any English speaking PVs, have we? Kinda sad to see they aren't really pushing the game.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerI've seen one screenshot, which reveals that Airy the Fairy keeps her name.
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!
I don't know what Europe's doing, but the game doesn't even come out here until "who-knows-when 2014".
Would explain why it's coming out so late if we do. But I wouldn't bet on it.
