Sometimes, you have to venture over to other hunting grounds to provide for your family.◊

My AO3 profile. Let sleeping cats lie and be cute and calming. That's a long time to be separated from your adolescent kids, though. Could she move her family to the station?
Huh. Never heard "Rubber Duck" used that way before.
Rubber duck debugging basically banks on that most people already know the solution. They just need to talk it out to be convinced of it, and to hash out any details. One of the issues with it, of course, is that it basically confirms your beliefs, which isn't always good.
If I were Niomi I'd be more offended if it weren't very much true
Kind of surprised they didn't pick up chemical changes. Like an increase in oxygen after absorbing carbon dioxide, or maybe they just didn't talk long enough to the human
They may not have the sensors for that. As robots working in a factory assembling things it makes sense for them to have high magnification lenses to check on things, but atmospheric analysis suite is a whole different question.

Fair, but then again keeping track on space stations would seem like a pretty important thing no?
Well the are a 100% inorganic factory so some parts of atmospheric keeping are kinda less important. They need to keep a quantity of air for cooling purposes, but chemical composition is much less important. Hell they could probably benefit from low-oxygen because that means less chances of something being on fire or even general rust and corrosion. It also could be more practical to just have stationary sensors for air, just to keep constant control over every room, and robots can access them on the net.

Being able to sense oxygen is useful if your environment is supposed to be low oxygen to prevent explosions.
Bonus points: she doesn't have to deal with Sam
