I think being In-Universe Examples Only already should account for that.

TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupIt's kinda hard to have it be IUEO without an acknowledgement component. I'm responding to the ideas of moving the misuse or expanding to remove the restriction. Without acknowledgement, it's not really an In-Universe thing as fanservice is for the fans, not characters.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessThere's also the problem that people use characters who were average to good looking as kids, just not portrayed as especially attractive, because they are kids. And once they are adults their attractiveness is played up. But I don't think it's a trope on its own. Or at least it's too common to be notable.
If a kid was considered particularly plain, and as a grown up they are beautiful, then it's notable.
Then we could split current examples of She Is All Grown Up into All Grown Up Remark (or similar renames) and Fanservice Pack. I've seen that no examples in the wick check applied it to actors.
Directly? Sure. But I bet a lot of examples only call the characters hot because their actors are. Fanservice tropes be like that.
(also yes there is, one is about Nathan Cress)

Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessWe could disambiguate the old name between a new name and Fanservice Pack.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI like that idea.
I'm also good on the All Grown Up Acknowledgement rename.
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/AI want to suggest Grown Up Beautiful if we could be sure it wouldn't attract gushing. Something like Childhood Friend Turned Beauty (or Childhood Friend Turned Knockout) could make the IUEO element clearer without resorting to slapping "remark" or "acknowledgement" at the end, but might make it look a bit narrower than it is.
I'm in favor of renaming, and those names sound better than All Grown Up Remark and All Grown Up Acknowledgement, since those two don't mention that the comment involves calling someone attractive, and according to the wick check, there's more misuse of this trope that leaves out the attractiveness aspect entirely than there is for attractiveness-related observations from the audience instead of other characters.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Depending if Childhood Friends is a first suggestion or a requirement.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupMaybe we could go with "acquaintance" instead of "friend".
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass. So, whatever we do with She Is All Grown Up, that misuse of not including attractiveness will be cut as chairs.
Another idea for the rename could come from this scene from Ice Age 4. The line "The wrinklier the raisin, the sweeter the fruit." humorously and nicely encapsulates the concept of a character seen as more attractive with age. We could go with something like Wrinklier Raisin Sweeter Fruit, and it would be much less prone to sinkholes. The main problem is that the phrase has a nuance of gerontophilia.

Maybe something like Blossoming Into Adulthood, though I'm not sure if it makes it clear it supposed to be about physical attractiveness.
I think that name might fall under Trope-Namer Syndrome, to say nothing of it being obtuse and obscure.

I'm lovin' it. (My Troper Wall)I think Attractive As An Adult would make the attractiveness more clear in addition to being alliterative, or maybe Attractive As An Adult Acknowledgement (custom titled with every word except "Acknowledgement" in quotation marks) if we need to make the in-universe aspect more clear while still maintaining the alliteration.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Agreed. I imagine that people would think from that name that the trope is about actual fruit or something.
Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project!Best name suggestions so far. They make it clear that the trope is actually about having grown up to be attractive, not just having grown up.
Also, I'm skeptical about the suggestions including words like "remark", since they make the trope sound like it's about the Stock Phrase rather than the phenomenon itself. "Acknowledgement" is much better.

Attractive As An Adult Acknowledgement is now my preferred option, unless someone can think of a better name.
I'm lovin' it. (My Troper Wall)Feels too long to me, at almost 40 characters. I prefer Attractive As An Adult, Grown Into A Beauty or my suggestion.
I still feel like we need to acknowledge the gushing and actor-based example issue, which will only get worse if the acknowledgement part is removed (and will remain the issue it currently is if the title ignores it without removing said requirement). Titles that focus specifically on the character's beauty feel like they'll attract the wrong stuff.
The remark/acknowledgement part is the only way to make it objective and IUEO.

Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI like Surprised By Their Growth. It's simple, but at the same time leaves no confusion with a character simply growing up, and would not require a trope refit as the remark ones (since the trope is intended for general In-Universe reaction, not just remarks).

But I did not give it importance.Surprised By Their Growth sounds like character growth/development to me. I'm not sure that would convey the attractiveness part of the trope.
Oissu!"growth" could mean a very many different things.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI do like getting "Surprised" in there, though. I'm just struggling to come up with something that isn't a mouthful, like Surprised They Grew Into A Beauty.
As much as All Grown Up Remark doesn't really roll off the tongue, I feel like it's concise and gets the point across.
Crown Description:
It has been decided that She Is All Grown Up should be renamed for clarity. Rename option are listed bellow. Vote UP for yes; Vote DOWN for no.
...Obviously need to filter for things that are just "this actress got hot as the show progressed", since the beauty of the actors isn't necessarily meant to translate to the character.
