Opened.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Rename, no ideas though.
Also would like to highlight that the trope is explicitly not Always Female and is on Unisex Tropes.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupIf we don't mind being boring and wordy we could just slap "acknowledgement" at the end.

TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupSo your first trope taken to TRS is in the Time Inmemorial Index!
First, I'd like to know the rationale behind the IUEO restriction. Getting prettier while growing up is an objective trope by itself and we could simply remove it and curb the gratuitous gushing.
But if we rename, I could suggest something like Enthralled By Their Growth or Surprised By Their Growth.

Still don't much problem in changing the trope to be about the process itself rather than character reactions if the gushing is kept to a minimum.

to renaming and I like All Grown Up Remark.
( it’s also more gender-neutral)

Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project! If we do make it clearer that a remark is needed, could some of the current misuse be better suited to Kid Hero All Grown-Up? Specifically misuse that focuses more so on their maturity than their appearance?
"As long as I have my comrades with me, I can do anything!" (She/Her) (Current Focus: Cleaning Hell Is That Noise misuse)Leaning on renaming to All Grown Up Remark.
I'm lovin' it. (My Troper Wall)It would be custom-titled to 'All Grown Up' Remark, right? I do kind of wish we should just shift it over to 'She is All Grown Up' Remark, as I feel like it rolls off the tongue better (and preserving the alphabetization will help with cleanup), but I understand the idea behind making it more clearly unisex.
Anyway, usage stats for funsies.
Found in 2656 articles, excluding discussions.
Since January 1, 2012 this article has brought 26,795 people to the wiki from non-search engine links.
Should mention this trope has 3 redirects. In the same vein as what brought up, here's their usage stats. First, She's All Grown Up:
Since January 1, 2012 this article has brought 1,277 people to the wiki from non-search engine links.
Next, He Is All Grown Up:
Since January 1, 2012 this article has brought 623 people to the wiki from non-search engine links.
And finally, He's All Grown Up:
Since January 1, 2012 this article has brought 186 people to the wiki from non-search engine links.
While I'm good with renaming this trope, none of the rename suggestions seem to actually get the core of the definition, which is that the other character has grown up to look more beautiful/handsome/sexy/etc. And I personally don't like just tacking "acknowledgement" to the current trope name, especially since I don't think this requires verbal acknowledgement.
But at present, it requires acknowledgement of some kind - it straight up says as much in its description. (And it doesn't have to be verbal, either.) Unless you want to remove said requirement, which I can honestly get behind.

I'm lovin' it. (My Troper Wall)Something like Attractiveness Through Maturity. Just spitballing, don't have much else to add atm.
I know no stock phrases, but "Puberty Hit You Like A Truck" is funny to me.
CSP Cleanup Thread | All that I ask for ... is diamonds and dance floorsPrecisely because it's already marked as IUEO I don't really think it's as necessary to use the "acknowledgement"/"remark" in the trope name.
Going by the wick check, the main issue is that people fail to mention the "more beautiful/handsome" aspect of the friend's growth and the "gushing" issue (i.e. skimping on the in-universe acknowledgement that the friend is now more beautiful/handsome than they used to be) are less prevalent. So I'd rather the new name put more emphasis to address the former than the latter; although admittedly I'm drawing blanks right now.
To be fair, we had to do the same to "Not So Different" Remark because people had no clue that the trope was about a comparison made in-universe. And Hell Is That Noise was IUEO for years but was used as a subjective trope by everybody. It's a lot to assume people recognize IUEO requirements.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessIf the problem was that people didn't realize it supposed to be about becoming more attractive, how about something along the lines of Grown Into A Beauty? Not sure about this particular one, but something like this?
What I'm concerned with Grown Into A Beauty is that such name could be a pothole magnet no different than the current name.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupIt hasn't been 3 days and it hasn't been decided to rename.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupNow that I think about it, some of the misuse about growing up, and getting more attractive over time without other characters aknowledging it can be channeled into Fanservice Pack.
Crown Description:
It has been decided that She Is All Grown Up should be renamed for clarity. Rename option are listed bellow. Vote UP for yes; Vote DOWN for no.

She Is All Grown Up is when a character acknowledges a friend of theirs (usually a Childhood Friend) has grown up to look nice. Unfortunately, the requirement of there being an In-Universe Acknowledgement is often ignored, leading to many examples simply describing a character that has grown up. I conducted a wick check to see how much misuse there was, and here are the results:
I recommend the trope is renamed to make it clearer that the acknowledgement is required.
