Huh, haven't checked up on this for a while
Neither did I, since the latest inter-chapter hiatus...
Damn, to go back to all the webcomics I'm late on, I'd need to take a week off...
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."This is one of those comics were art is interesting, but I kinda forget what is happening plot wise since I read it rather seldom and I don't understand all accents/dialects/whatever they were called
I admit I mostly read this for the character interactions. I only get about half of what is going on plot-wise at any one time.
Everybody's all "Jerry's old and feeble" till they see him run down a skyscraper and hijack a helicopter mid-flight.I intend to reread the whole comic eventually. It might help. I feel like there is a really cool plot going on that I'm barely getting.
Ya know, for comic with lot of dialog and really high art quality, this gets updated darn fast ._.
I've bee nchecking back on this comic after leaving for a year or two. Man, things have somehow gotten even more politically convoluted since I left.
I finally got around to reading the three side stories. They're all really good. I think I would rank them Vienne of Seferpine>Interior Emanations>Orphans. I ended up listening to Avantasia's The Raven Child for the first time while reading Interior Emanations, it fit really well.
The play is finally starting. This looks like it'll be interesting.
This updates so rarely and while I'm trying to read it as it comes out that I'm starting to notice it really harming my experience of the comic. Shame, as I really enjoy it in general. The previous flashback arc to the war worked so much better for me when I waited for it to be finished and then read it in one go.
Like for a while now in this most recent arc Duane seems to be behaving out of character and I have no idea why. I recently read someone saying it had something to do with his last trip to Khert, but I can't make myself go back to reread. Also Sette using the amulet on him seems really strange, though her bonding with the other kids and Duane acting funny makes it kinda make sense. Yet I keep constantly feeling like I'm missing pieces, where as I was enjoying the complex plotting and characterization when I was binging this and found the series enjoyable to follow.
The older I get, the less happy I am with the page by page model for web comics when they're very story driven. I might have to toss this into the "Forget for 5 years, then maybe check back"-bucket with Paranatural.

For what it's worth, there is an email waitlist thing for full chapter releases at least, if you'd prefer to keep up with it in that way. You'll basically get an email whenever a chapter finishes, and from there can just binge the whole completed thing.
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/lb_i.php?lb_id=13239183440B34964700 Alfric's Fire Emblem Liveblog Encyclopedia! How exactly has Duane been out of character?
Thanks. That sounds like something that might improve my reading experience. I'll give it a go.
I only said that to me he seemed to be acting out of character. He's always been religious, but now he's going full fanatic beating up people and properly cursing out Sette and I'm not really following the through line that got him acting like that. Part of that is because the story is progressing slowly and part of it is that the story likes to imply a lot of stuff without directly stating it. Love the latter, but with long times between progression it gets hard to follow.
Like my best impression of the main pairs relationship was that they found a good equilibrium after they dealt with the silver, but now they're shouting at each other and worse and I can't for the life of me remember why that is. It might be more obvious if I went back to the recent chapters, but I don't feel like a reread yet.
Right now the temple is in the middle of holy Gefendur ceremony that involves human sacrifice and cannibalism. Duane just spent time with a future year's sacrifice lamenting that she won't live past 22. Also, the temple head has been capturing and dissecting waterwomen. It's pretty clear why he snapped.

The whole "being a literal rotting corpse" business is likely also taking a toll on him.
Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.Chapter 15 is over and chapter 16 will start in April. The extra long wait is apparently because the next chapter will start the climax of Book 1 and the author want to take extra time to get it right.
damn, I gotta do a reread. Haven't read this in years, but it's probably worth a binge.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Regarding the recent pages:
You know, I'm starting to doubt our Duane's portrayal of Alderode. :P
Otherwise... What manner of beings were those that were... questioning Matty's mom? Were they senet beasts of some sort? Humans changed via Pymary? Something else...?
My Games & WritingAuthor said on her tumblr they're just evil men, as remembered by Uiad. It's also a way to make the victim of the violence the sole human in the scene, combat some the the exploitative edge it could have had
Despite my screen-name, ranting to you about One Piece is not my top priority. Also, in case you missed it, that was a three page update I linked.
Aaaah, I see! That hadn't occurred to me. Thank you for sharing that! ^_^
For my part I did see it—but that's in part because I usually access the comic from the site's main page, which usually indicates multi-page postings, I believe. Nevertheless, thank you for pointing it out! ^_^
My Games & WritingI'm finally caught up. That was a lot to absorb.
