Eh? I thought it was said that the protesting and the news broadcast are what brought out the support to get rid of the uniforms. And Susan got what she wants, if not for the reasons she wanted it. And it wraps up a sorta tedious sideplot without too much delay.
You've lost. You're the Bomb Squad after the bomb's gone off. I'm the blast ongoing.Yeah, you have a point. But look at her face at the last panel. Does she looks happy for you?
Well, a victory for all the wrong reasons does have a bitter taste.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Looks like I was more or less right, Pandora is actively trying to expose the supernatural. Shit just got real.
You've lost. You're the Bomb Squad after the bomb's gone off. I'm the blast ongoing.I would like to say that I stopped reading this webcomic when the plot started taking a back seat to "OMG LESBIANS".
...I would like to say that, but I'm still reading it, the plot hasn't exactly "taken a back seat", I really only wanted to say that because I think saying these things makes me sound cool, and lesbians are hot (actually, I'm only saying that last part because I think saying it makes me sound cool, and I've never understood why some guys think that girls who aren't attracted to guys are sexier than girls who are).
The comics equivalent of PTSD.It's not that girls attracted to girls are hotter than girls attracted to guys, it's just that two girls are hotter than one girl.
Ideally this would involve two girls hot for you, but we're willing to settle for two girls hot for each other.

Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise.Am I the only one whose experiencing some major PSL for Chika?
The Philosopher-King ParadoxMan, this Q&A week is showing off some serious Art Evolution. That splash effect is pretty cool.
You've lost. You're the Bomb Squad after the bomb's gone off. I'm the blast ongoing.I get the feeling we're heading to a major or minor Susan-meltdown of sorts (or a subverted one).
Dan does have a tendency to drag his characters through hell in order to bring them back stronger than before... and at least nobody yet's gone nuts (excepting that one time Ellen did...)
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. And so, a new arc begins. And the focus appears to be shifting back onto Tedd and Elliot.
The Philosopher-King ParadoxWell, at least Tedd admits he's a Mad Scientist. If he were to insist that the sort of stuff he gets into is normal, that would be cause for concern.
Also, Dan is claiming a 5 comic a week schedule starting next week (main M-W-F, NP side strips T-R). Let's see if he can do it.

You've lost. You're the Bomb Squad after the bomb's gone off. I'm the blast ongoing.Tedd is quite of a Mad Hatter here.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."This comic takes a little getting used to—But I'm trying. :)
It helps to not let the blatant Author Appeal parts sidetrack you.
Ted looks...odd in that strip.
Also...two...weeks?
This...this almost pisses me off. It just makes the whole time frame of everything Ellen did from going crazy, to angsting, to healing, to being completely and utterly healed and happy being a girl seem a bit....meh.
New User HandleEGS is pretty bad about the whole Webcomic Time.
Now if you excuse me, Starfleet is about to award the Christopher Pike Medal to my dick. — SF DebrisThat and Token Minorities. Dan certainly is open minded, but I think he sometimes parades said minorities a bit more than necessary. But I think that's just me.

I think that "two weeks" means two weeks since the last arc, in which the magibabble about Ellen and Elliot's abilities was explained.
You've lost. You're the Bomb Squad after the bomb's gone off. I'm the blast ongoing. It specifically said, two weeks since he touched the diamond. The art was still crappy back then. That is a long time.
New User Handle"Two weeks ago I learned..."
That would have been this strip.
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise.Alright, guess that makes it better, will have to do a read through to judge though...
New User HandleHere's a timeline linked in the commentary. All in all, this new arc starts a little over 3 months since the story started.

Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise.Alright, you got me. Guess the timeline is not as bad as I thought. I still have my other issues though, but those are more subjective than anything. Well, here's hoping for some good character development in the upcoming strips.
New User Handle
this strip pissed me off. It's so big example of Yank The Dog's Chain that it's just cruel – Susan get through hell for trying to make the difference only to find out it wasn't necessary. If somebody has o be The Woobie, must it be her?
