- Tomokazu Sugita has the penchant on this trope in Two characters in a different anime:
- Kyon's theme song from Haruhi Suzumiya includes one of these for no apparent reason (he NEVER does this in the manga or anime).
- Gintoki of Gintama fame occasionally lets out a comical scream of this nature when he's subjected to something he finds particularly horrifying. If paired with a Groin Attack, it is Played for Laughs. Said incidents include:
- Finding a giant-sized cockroach with Kagura.
- Being in Kanashibari before the anime.
- Getting a ride from Katsura, who ignores an s-curve by driving up straight.
Gintoki: S-curve, and you don't give a damn?!- Listening to an otherwise relaxing radio story that caps off with a Surprisingly Creepy Moment.
- Getting his balls pixelated by the Demon King.
- Taking Gedoumaru's kanabo to the crotch right after performing an aerial ass bomber on Doman before he teleports.
- Later, getting his balls detached by Doman immediately after Seimei reattached them in the aftermath of the previous Groin Attack.
- Provoking Kagura's wrath by mistaking her being bashful about giving him Valentine's chocolate for her being constipated.
- Playing a cursed Blu-Ray disc in episode 224.
- And by extension, seeing BluRayko becomes a GPS only to locate a kotatsu by meters.
- And in Episode 231, getting his nuts grabbed by the owner's wife after saving the corpse of her husband at the truck.
- Here's a compilation of his screams.
- Yoshitsugu Matsuoka is no slouch in this area himself, being able to emote an absolutely adorable screech of girlish-terror for comedic purposes. Just listen to him in the comedic Blu-Ray DVD extras "Sword Art Offline" and in "Is it wrong to pick up girls in a dungeon?"
- Code Geass: Even anti-heroes scream in high-pitched voices
- In Soul Eater Black Star lets out a high-pitched squeal when Dr. Stein catches him trying to sneak a peek at the answers for a big test. The dub version in particular sounds quite girlish compared to the original Japanese.
- Nozomu's "IIIIIIYYYYYYAAAAAAA!!!!!!" from Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei. One of the funniest instances is when he does this after the girls see him naked during the Hot Springs Episode, and the Deadpan Snarker Abiru lampshades that "that should be our reaction".
- North Italy in Hetalia: Axis Powers at one point screams "Kyaaaa!". America as well.
- Greece in the dub of season 3, when Japan pretends to pull his thumb off.
- Romano shows off his manly screech in the dub, when both he and his brother are caught by England. Actually, he does this a lot.
- Finland in the dub of season three too, from the "Running Away with Mr Sweden" episode.
- Zoisite does this when he discovers that he is surrounded by rats in the original Japanese version of Sailor Moon. Aside from his relationship with Kunzite, this was one of the main reasons he was turned into a girl for the DiC version.
- Artemis does this in the Viz dub, courtesy of Johnny Yong Bosch.
- Early in Azumanga Daioh, a war against a cockroach begins after a very high-pitched scream erupts from one of the students. Afterward, it's revealed the source of that scream was Sakaki who, while being an actual girl, is also an Aloof Dark-Haired Girl and normally has a deep voice.
- Ramiel, an Eldritch Abomination made from impossible geometric shapes, in Rebuild of Evangelion. Definitely not Played for Laughs.
- In the Pokemon anime, Cilan lets out a very girly scream in one episode.
- From episode 18 of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX:Jaden: (Crowler screams offscreen) Someone's in trouble!
Bastion: Let's go help her! - In any Ecchi anime, whenever the guy walks in on a girl taking a bath, you'd expect the girl screaming at the guy. This is not the case in High School Dx D when Issei walks in on the bathroom while Asia was still inside. He's the one screaming and trying to cover himself instead of the other way around.
- In Excel♡Saga, when Iwata finds himself in Ropponmatsu II's body, his first reaction is to proclaim "HIGH PITCHED GIRLISH SHRIEK!!"
- Tubby screamed this way in most episodes of the Little Lulu anime, most notably in Episode 2.
- Mamoru from From the New World does this in episode two, and Maria scolds him about it.Maria: Don't cry like a little girl!
- In the anime adaptation of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, Bell sees Aiz and tries to escape her, only to roll face-first into her butt. His scream of embarrassment has to be heard to be believed.
- Tsuna from Reborn! (2004) as well, where he definitely screams like a little girl in almost every surprise that Reborn will throw at him. Oh and little puppies too. Expect him to scream every single episode
- In Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, part and parcel with his No Indoor Voice and Large Ham personality, Zenitsu screams every emotion on the top of his lungs, especially when he is terrified. It's a testament to the skill, comedic timing and vocal-chord strength of Hiro Shimono that he has not lost his voice after his introduction arc.
- To a lesser extent, our leading protagonist Tanjiro's Japanese Voice Actor Natsuki Hanae also emotes the most adorably girlish screams whenever he is fleeing from Mr Haganezuka for breaking yet *another* one of his swords. Though to be fair, any boy would probably screech in fright if he was chased by a 6 foot tall musclebound maniac in a mask waving a kitchen knife.
- Ayakashi Triangle: Matsuri was change from a boy to a girl, and some particularly emasculating moments are highlighted by undignified squealing, if not blatantly sexually moaning. The first time it happens, after Suzu accidentally grabs his breasts, he's even surprised by the specific sound he made ("hyan" in Japanese, "meep" in English). Amusingly, after Suzu realizes she likes Matsuri even as a girl, she's aroused by them.
