I'm seconding Dokapon Kingdom. I played it on the Wii, and it was the game that made me upgrade my Gamefly subscription because I didn't want to send it back. My only real complaint is that The Computer Is a Cheating Bastard to the nth degree.

Acid Rain is ruining the environment! Don't persue the dying in bad weather!Seconding Earth Defense Force 2017.
And, unfortunately, Infinite Space definitely Needs More Love in the States. It's probably the best RPG I've ever seen on the DS. Also adding Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers. Yes, it's a hack-and-slash, but a very good one.

Chibi Robo, man. Chibi Robo.
And Rocket Robot On Wheels. Adorable robots = good times.

Kill all math nerdsI've heard good things. Seemed. very WJT.

While probably not really obscure per se, Valkyrie Profile needs more love. That game was the first JRPG I played that wasn't an FF clone, and it is AWESOME!
Also, flOw. So obscure, this wiki doesn't think it exists.

Well, flOw doesn't really have a lot of tropes to it.
[1] This facsimile operated in part by synAC.Hm... Extreme Omnivore, Bizarre Alien Biology, Evolutionary Levels... I'm sure I can think of more. Maybe that start the page for it eventually...
Legend Of Mana, beautiful artwork and the hack and slash gameplay was fun.
Mad World. i don't see many people talk about it on this site. It even mages to fit one o the tropes that was created to be an example of What Politicians think of video games as murder simkiulators are like. And is a m,ajor parody of it, as well as playing it straight. And Bender is one fo the Announcers on the game too.
Since when were you under the impression that I was Aizen?Seconded. Mad World is amazing, critically acclaimed, and yet only retails for $10-20 at Gamestop, et al. (And it might even have a sequel.) And I haven't heard too many people talk about House of the Dead: Overkill, either.

I know why some people are getting deja vu. We DID have a thread like this...Except it was "bands" instead of "games" and it was in Music.
Trickstyle. It was a dreamcast game by the burnout guys involving hover-board racing. and it was awesome.
When in deadly danger, when beset by doubt, run in little circles, wave your arms and shout.Giants: Citizen Kabuto is obscure? Anachronox is obscure? Why not say MDK is obscure, or Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura?
Old =! obscure.
Jonah Falcon^Both are certainly more obscure than either Okami or Psychonauts.
Is Lux Pain really good? I've seen it here and there but wasn't sure it merited a buy. I enjoyed Time Hollow but hated Hotel Dusk, so... thoughts?
Well, there is an argument to be had about how those games were probably as well known as Okami or Psychonauts at their time, but the Nohamotyo took effect and maybe in a few years the latter will be at the same level of obscurity. You'd also have to take in count the fact that the internet is more widespread now than it was in 2000, allowing people to keep circulating information about the game and making it much easier for the fandom to congregate, plus the bigger relevance that videogames are acquiring, meaning Okami or Psychonauts won't be quite as forgotten
Of course, I want nothing to do with that argument.
