TBH, it's a perfect comparison so might as well.

Granted, I don't think Peni plays Starcraft.

At least her mech has the cool design from the comics and not the lame cartoony ball from the first Spider-Verse film.

Peni even got more broody like her comic self in the second movie.

ItSV's version of the SP//dr suit might've actually fit better if the point was to make her as D.Va as possible.

Of course he can, the point of this game is putting in every character they can after coming up with a playstyle for him.

Black Panther is playable and he's a claw guy, no reason why Logan wouldn't be hear.

fair but I feel black panther has more options that claws in comparision to wolverine but yeah short-range characters can work for this kind of games too, just look at winston or reindhart in overwatch.

On top of T'Challa having more than just claws in his arsenal, I think Wolverine's healing factor and tendency for berserker rages would also help differentiate the two of them.

I could see Black Panther getting a set amount of defense from his vibranium-lined costume, but no way to regain health that he's lost that isn't also available to everyone else on the roster (e.g. health packs, healing-capable teammates, slow Regenerating Health), while Logan would go down quicker than him from sustained, concentrated fire since you're hitting his body directly, but he'd also be able to recover from that either all on his own or way quicker than everybody else.

Likewise, Black Panther could have access to high-tech gadgets for traps or additional attacks, while Logan could get some sort of meter that fills up whenever he takes damage, and once it gets full (for the sake of balance, let's say it's higher than his maximum health, necessitating that the player plan around his healing factor to use hit-and-run tactics rather than just tanking everything), he can activate a "Berserk Mode" that makes him faster, gives him additional defense, and/or lets him hit harder.

I hope they'll add more villains. Few we have now are basically anti-heroes/villains.

I doubt they'd be able to resist adding Doom or the Goblin to the game for long, really.

I hope they go obscure with some of the villains.

I find it funny that Rocket is Support when in the last movie he was almost killed by a medipack.

I imagine he's support in the sense that Sniper or Spy are considered support.

From the footage shown he seems to be this game's take on an "attach character" support; which is an archetype started by Yuumi from League of Legends and has since been followed by Comfey and Gizmo.

I like how Groot and Rocket are actually separate here since some games tend to use them as a dividual.

Them attaching is instead of a gameplay mechanic and both characters can function perfectly fine separately.

Yeah that's really fun, that they can both be used separately but you can not only still get that synergy but it's something you have to organically initiate with a teammate. That just really opens up a lot, allows for a lot of player choice and expression.

Really curious what the team-up mechanic is, if the game has actually built up something for every pair or if it's only for very specific ones. Kinda hoping it's the former for the pure chaos of it even if that sounds like an enormous undertaking dev-wise.

I'm hoping for modok in the game, he wouldn't be hard to fit in the game and has tons of potential both for moveset and weapons and he's generally just a fun goofy villain that can still manage to be threathening despite looking ridiculous.

Given this is Marvel and how they've already given us some Deep Cuts the wishlists for this game are gonna be insane.

My number 1 will be Carol Danvers though. She didn't show in Marvel's Avengers and that sucked.

That might've been a blessing though

I feel like some shoe-ins will be Captain America, the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy, and She-Hulk.

Hey, I didn't hate the game. Or at least I didn't hate actually playing it.

Black Panther was legit a joy to control in that. Carol's my fave, but T'challa's just as good.

He looks cool to play as in this too. Can't wait to main him.

Not just the high-profile guys like Cyclops, Gambit, Apocalypse but also guys like Fantomex, Psylocke, or deep cuts like Emplate.
