How does that jerk still have a job? Fritz is too nice. Some of the characters would make good plushies.

Fritz being too nice is why I don't like him. Same with Val. Duncan's animosity is unearned but at least he's not deluded himself into thinking Tylor is his bestie based off one ordinary question like Val. I am mildly curious about Duncan and if he can get a backstory, maybe something with roto the therapy animal. I feel like Duncan is Randall 2.0 but with more character growth potential and less child kidnapping.

I like Duncan. I find his one-sided rivalry with Tylor entertaining. Val and Fritz are fine in small doses but are otherwise annoying, especially Val. Tylor himself is kind of bland both visually and as a character but at least he has the others to bounce off of. Cutter's great but underused though. Ultimately, while the show's flawed I still enjoy it. Wish we got more out of Mike and Sully's subplot though.

So we now know why the Abominable Snowman got banished. Turns out, it was mail tampering... in that the Snowman accidentally read a letter to Waternoose detailing the Scream Extractor. Of course, Waternoose wouldn't want someone to leak out his evil plan...

Tomorrow's new episode has a guest appearance from Hadley Gannaway. She's the 14 year old daughter of series showrunner Bobs Gannaway. She's also done voice work for Disney, being a recurring voice actor on TOTS (which also has involvement from Icon Creative Studios) and was also in Frozen 2.

[up][up] Yikes, suddenly the joke made at the end of Monsters University and his banishment in general aren't that funny anymore.

I thought it was pretty good, actually. The Abominable Snowman ep might be the best episode thus far, save maybe for the "Mike takes care of a human baby" one.

Missed opportunity in the most recent one for Tylor and Mike to bond over essentially having the same problem in reverse.

Did anyone notice that there's an animation error in the latest episode? During the pan shot of all the kids in the Monsters Inc lobby, one of the kids awkwardly just pops into existence when the camera pans to them.

[up] There'll be time for that later in the season, I'm sure.

Season finale!

I liked the subversion of Friend-or-Idol Decision, a trope I think tends to be overused in kids media.

Also, fun touch, the show ends at the end of the Time Skip that concludes Monster's Inc, with the scene where Celia shows Mike the magazine happening in the background of the final scene of the show.

The end of this show is very definitive, making me wonder if it's even going to be getting a second season or not. Tylor's story is pretty bluntly over, and they'd have to start a whole new one. Which I wouldn't mind: a series that's a bunch of stories about everyone at Monsters Inc and not just Tylor would be really great.

I'm not sure. Some of the people working on the series have moved onto other projects (when looking on Linked In) , such as story editors Evan Gore & Heather Lombard (who stopped working on the show in September 2019) moving on to work on some projects for The Self Esteem Company and Disney Junior, writer Bart Jennett moving onto Spidey And His Amazing Friends, and storyboard artists Scotland Barnes and Steven Umbleby both moving onto Alice's Wonderland Bakery (the latter as a director). On the other hand, the Disney Television Animation page on Linked In says how someone recently got promoted to character design lead for the series. It's up in the air at this point.

[up][up]Me too, loved seeing the MIFTers outright telling Tylor to follow his dreams since they realized how much it meant to be on the floor for him, a good twist on the usual Friend-or-Idol Decision.

And I was not expecting a Time Skip to the successful Jokester times and the scenes of Sulley proudly looking at the employees before going to see Boo's door.

I must say the show really picks up at episode 5. Even Duncan is less slimy! Also didn't expect Flint to be the career single mom.

What happened to Slugworth anyway?

EDIT: And finally finished. I must say the show really found its feet halfway through, shame it's a bit on the short side. Also didn't know this series has been in production for two years.

I'd say production on the show was at least 3 years. The show was announced in summer 2017, and the Linked In profile of Evan Gore says how he and his wife Heather Lombard worked as story editors for the show from April 2018-September 2019. And there was probably some post production after that.

Something that worried me throughout the season, is that the moment Tylor had a chance to be an official prankster, he would decide to leave it to remain a member of Mift.

As I'm glad they avoided that cliche.

It honestly frustrates me when a character gives up his dreams, just because he learns a moral or something like that.

Holy shit that lead up to the finale. Season 2 was really great! It started slow and kinda weak but with a believable premise, but man they didn't miss with the last few eps.

[up]But man he really sounds so different.

When Randall went "Hello little Waternoose!" you think there's that feel of revenge when he swung the connector at him?
