Welcome to HGS: Another Side Another Story. It is a roleplay spinoff for the Hunger Games Simulator forum game, akin to both the RP's in the Roleplaying section as well as the ITTs in Forum Games. It tells the story of the Hunger Games in the Arena of Panem, the nominators who sent the tributes, the tributes themselves both in and out of the Arena or even other people relevant to the Games. In addition, it also tells their stories beyond the Arena.
You can jump right in with any character, like your nominator self, your tributes, etc. The structure of this RP will be open-world. Don't worry about not being skilled/experienced enough or being new to RP'ing. Finally, ASAS accepts any skill level or RP style. Other than these, there are some important rules to note, which are:
- No godmodding will be allowed or tolerated here. The offending player will be given punishment depending on the severity.
- Please communicate anything important you plan on another player with the said player first. Don't just execute it without their consent.
- Don't be rude to other players, both out and in-universe. This extends to RP offenses like railroading, guilt-tripping, coercing, or other forms of forcing them.
- This RP is related to the Hunger Games Simulation:Beyond the Possibilities forum game. Thus it will have events based from that game, including the tributes. This means if you want to RP as tributes, please nominate them officially on the thread first, with misses not being counted. This has to be done after an incident with a player who hasn't joined the game itself yet.
- Since this RP is Loose Canon in relation to the main HGS thread, the host's interpretation of events isn't necessarily 100% canon. Every player has the right to deviate from what the host says and go with their own interpretations. If multiple players have their tributes involved in the same event(s), please communicate with each other so that you're on the same page regarding how you see them.
- This RP chronicles the lives of the nominators and their tributes behind the scenes. While dark plots are acceptable, the overall tone of the RP should be light-hearted and comedic. This RP is not a Cosmic Horror Story or action story about defeating evil. It is a Slice of Life comedy with some adventure to it, first and foremost. Our previous RP, Convergence, is not representative of the intended tone, and the grimdark tone of that RP is one of the main reasons it was retooled.
- Nominators and tributes alike can transform into Pokemon whenever they enter a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon World (but they can bypass this with certain items/methods or shapeshifting) or via other means outside it such as a season event, Transformation Trinkets, or shapeshifting. The players are free to choose the Pokéforms that best suit their characters and even give them color schemes outside the standard and Shiny colors, but there is a hard rule for this. If you want your character's Pokéform to be a Legendary, Mythical, or Ultra Beast, please ask the RP mods for approval. Outside the Arena, these Pokéforms are still OP, but we want to give leeway for tributes who theoretically can have them such as deities.

Detective Gamechanger's Base
A sharp-dressed man in a green suit and yellow tie is standing by the entrance of the base. He is of average height and has whitish skin, though still a bit darker. He is Billy, one of the nominators and the organizer of the party.
Indeed, after the nominators' returned and settled their problems, they decide to have fun with a party. Billy also sent invites for all the other nominators out there, as well as basically anyone else, including tributes, non associated parties, interested nominators who haven't participate yet, or even those who just wants to hang out.
The place itself in the base is refurbished for party purposes. Fancy chairs and tables are set everywhere for people to relax, as well as put food and other objects for the latter. There's also various collections showcased, including those belonging to the Detective, like his classic cars. Various themes to the base are set too, including detective noir as GC would have preferred.
Billy is now awaiting for other guests to arrive. He is also ready to give them a pleasant surprise during the party pertaining to his nation.

Fire Eyes silently watched as a massive explosion, courtesy of Power Bomb, unfolded before him, inside a Mawkin tower. He spotted some spaceship debris flying out of the building and he let out a sigh.
The Chozo looked behind to see Blood Moon approaching. He was doing slightly better, but he was still in that weak, messed-up Chozo zombie form.
"That sector should be clear. I think we are finished. What about you?" he said. After talking a bit, both Chozo had decided to ensure that no X would be able to escape ZDR, by hunting down every ship they could find and blowing them up.
"The vessels at the main shipyard remains... The good news is the X has not breached it yet... I tried to pass through, but I couldn't without risking attracting the Metroids guarding it" Blood Moon hoarsely said before frowning.
"Which means Raven Beak is still very much breathing... I am starting to doubt your "friends"'s competence." he hissed.
"Getting Raven Beak is one of their objective. One of many. Give it some time." Fire Eyes argued. Blood Moon grunted.
Fire Eyes then used the radar on his visor.
"We just have to check around Stokes's castle for remaining ships. I managed to spot at least one."
"A ship in the open air, then. It's begging for the X to claim it!" Blood Moon furiously exclaimed before coughing violently.
"Blood Moon...!" Fire Eyes gasped, reaching for his friend without touching his goopy skin.
"Stop worrying about me already... We don't have time... Let's blow it up... Before they notice... How many Power Bombs do we have left?" Blood Moon said.
"Not a lot... I don't know how many we will have left for the shipyard."
"Nevermind, then. If we have to tear the ships apart with our bare claws, we will do so."
Fire Eyes sighed and got in front of Blood Moon.
"You and I know what must be done... But we have to save at least one spaceship for the people our allies are trying to rescue." he said.
"Better all of them and us rotting here than risking letting the parasites out. Nobody is getting out of here. That's too risky. They brought this upon themselves." Blood Moon angrily dismissed.
"Damn it, Blood Moon, we talked about this with Knox. If we are careful, maybe they could safely get out while dodging the X." Fire Eyes reminded. Blood Moon stared at his blood brother in the eye.
Fire Eyes broke eye contact after a moment and shook his head.
"Listen... The X are far away from the lair at the moment. We have to assess what kind of ship it is and the situation. I know it's risky. But don't you think that's the least we can do for them for helping us against Raven Beak?"
"Please... They're not taking him down for our tribe's sake." Blood Moon said.
"Maybe not when they first got here. But they took their time to reveal Raven Beak's lies to them, not just for their safety. Why do you think Black Sun and the other commanders listened to them? The nominators could have easily just made their way back to the lair with hurting more of us. But they didn't. They really believed we could do better than serving as Raven Beak's lapdogs." Fire Eyes argued before sadly sighing.
"And... our fallen squadmates. They didn't want this. None of them wanted this. The 'Brijes, especially. They felt genuinely wrong about this, trust me. They are also fighting for Mawkin's sake. The real Mawkin."
Blood Moon's angry stare softened up a little. After a moment, he groaned in pain as he clutched his head.
"...Just take me to the damn ship, will you?" he grunted.
"Only if you don't blow up that one. At least, not until we assess the situation." Fire Eyes insisted. Blood Moon sighed in defeat and nodded.
The two Chozo then made their way toward the ship the scouting team had discovered.
Dark Stanford's lair
Aaron grunted in effort as Twilight pushed harder. He got on his knees at this point, but he didn't give up, even as the center dangerously got close to him.
The others managed to restrain her, but the AR!Gems made the mistake of attacking too soon, causing Aaron's Hyper Beam to go toward them.
"NOOO!!!!" Aaron shouted in horror, realizing what happened, but unable to cancel his attack in time.
Horrified, Tokage immediately stopped using Grass Knot and grabbed July to get her away, he was fast enough to do that. Alex wasn't, though.
"CRAP!!" he shouted. Before trying to run away, he turned toward August and punched her as hard as he could to get her away. But the Charmeleon wasn't able to dodge, and he got engulfed by the beam. He cried out in pain as he was slammed against the wall, his hat flying out of his head and landing right next to him on the floor.
Once he was able to stop the attack, Aaron cried out Alex's name, rushing toward him, and any others that would have been hit.
"ALEX!! Oh gods, no... Alex!!" the Lucario exclaimed, panicking and on the verge of tears as he dropped near Alex's body. Tokage also noticed it and he rushed out to Alex in alarm as well.
But Alex wasn't dead. He wasn't even unconscious. He just had a lot of bruises and burning marks all over his body.
"Argh... Hehehe... You hit me good Aaron, heh? Ow... I forgot how Hyper Beams hit hard." Alex weakly laughed.
"Damn it... Alex, will you be okay?" Tokage asked, worried.
"A-Alex... I-I didn't... I didn't want... I-I'm sorry..." Aaron stammered, using Life Dew to try to ease up Alex's pain.
"Of course I know that, you dingus... But I'll live... I just need a good patch-up. Someone should be able to do that. Good thing I'm that strong, haha... Guess we didn't plan on you overloading your attack with Twilight down." Alex reassured, gently patting his friend's back. Aaron and Tokage let out a heavy sigh.
"You really are stubborn... Never do that again." Tokage said.
"Can't promise anything. Just... make sure she doesn't get up, heh? I... don't think I can pull that stunt again." Alex weakly cackled, pointing at Twilight.
"Right." Aaron said, sniffing. Once he was focused enough, he didn't waste any time to mega-evolve, should Twilight get up and counterattack. The Lucario then rushed to end the fight with Extreme Speed before slashing at Twilight's bracer with Metal Claw.
Tokage then turned toward CAC, and his relieved face quickly morphed into a furious one.
"You... What the... What the actual fuck was that???" the Grovyle angrily snarled at CAC. Tokage wasn't one to lose his temper, but seeing that CAC's attempted suicide and not fighting back resulted in Aaron almost turning into stone and Alex critically injured, he wasn't happy at all.
"Bismuth and the others... Everyone had talked to you about your issues ever since we got here. But just now you... You didn't even fight back, you didn't even try talking back to Twilight! And now Alex... Damn it, I know this is hard, but if you fell for Twilight's words so easily, then what will happen when you face Dark Stanford, the REAL Dark Stanford? Or with someone as manipulative as Raven Beak?" he said before outright shouting.
"Did you think about Bismuth??? About the rest of us??? What about Oscar and Lucian??? The people back in Panem?? Or I don't know, your two friends right here??? Did you think about how they would react if they saw you killing yourself??? There are people who care about you, and you were willing to just... throw it all away???? Is this how you plan to redeem yourself??? By giving up on your life and breaking their heart???" Tokage angrily finished.
Back with Lucian, Oscar's songs managed to slightly calm him down, but he still felt exhausted. He kept sobbing hearing faintly what was happening outside, wondering if Aaron and the others were okay.
"AHA!! Success!!" James exclaimed with Les going down too. And with that, the fight was practically over, with Knox having to take down Discord's bracer.
"I-I fully agree." James said to Peridot.
"Doesn't seem there's anything hostile around now..." Nick sighed. Arthur shrugged before turning toward the newcomer... and then he noticed Knox.
"Wait... What are you doing here? Where's Fire Eyes? Where's Blood Moon??" he asked.
Grinning madly, Scipion was about to throw a large fireball at Rarity when Lapis thankfully managed to call off the attack with a strong burst of wind, strong enough for him to let go of the fire gem
"NO!!! You CRETIN!!! What are you doing??" Scipion angrily shouted, rushing to reclaim the fire gem.
"Boss!! Stop!! We won!!" Onox called out.
Scipion stopped and looked at Rarity, then Applejack and Rainbow Dash.
"...Already? Well, that wasn't fun... And what's with you and those glasses shards?"
"You threw them at us, you imbecile. We were lucky none of them fatally hurt us." Freyja scolded.
"Well it's not my fault if you can't dodge, you idiots." Scipion grumbled, looking away in a sulking manner.
"One of these days, I'm going to murder you..." the Ember Empress cursed, getting up and getting out the shards stuck in her legs. She then looked at the elemental gems and raised an eyebrow at the others, silently asking what to do with them.
Much further away in the lair, Skarbick, the Zebesian counterpart of Stanford, was nervously walking back and forth in his cell. He was telepathically speaking with Elfilis again.
"What do you mean, we have a problem??" he demanded.
"The nominators got here way sooner than we anticipated. From what we have heard they are not too far." Elfilis's voice resonated in the Pirate's head.
"And can't you idiots just... fight them?? You fancy yourself about being ultimate life-forms or whatever, how about you prove it by exterminating them???" Skarbick mentally screamed.
"No... These Pokémons... They did something to me and Vilgax. We are in no position to fight them." Elfilis reluctantly admitted.
"Luckily for us, our dear "boss" is too busy rambling on about these two pups he wants to kill so badly. So busy it seems he even forgot about you lots, or to check on us."
"Is that so, heh? It proves that this counterpart of mine is an inferior. A fraud, bahaha!! It's about time an actual "Stanford" is in charge. Me." Skarbick gloated.
"Hmph... Estimate yourself lucky that those chips you secretly gave to us are working. You are certain that they will prevent that miserable fox from atomizing us?"
"Affirmative. What that cretin can do, I can do better." Skarbick insisted.
"Then I suppose this is where we part ways. When Vilgax is finished hacking, you should all be free. We already located a teleporter for ourselves. You should find your own and be done with whatever it is you're planning. We should blow them up at the same time to avoid any pests following us." Elfilis said.
"Including that little rodent of yours? Elfilin, was it?" Skarbick mocked.
"I am loathe to admit it, but I can't reach him... Yet. I will have him, one way or another. Just not now. Farewell." Elfilis hissed before cutting contact.
Skarbick rolled his eyes and waited...

Bezier folds his ears at Ichi. He thought he'd at least say something about his issues with being Mistaken For Trans back home, but instead Ichi rooted for the very same tribute who killed alt!Nomi... and she became an MM by doing so.
"H... How could you do this to me?!"
He tries not to burst into tears, prompting Power to hug him.
"Calm down, it's just a show!"
"I know, but it feels like he betrayed meeeeee!"
"I've been there, Bezier. I remember when I broke down just like that when Anakin, one of Ichi's tributes, killed Twilight in S80. Ichi tried calming me down with headpats, but I still took friendship lessons from Twilight herself after that season because my anxiety was really that bad back then. It's normal to feel sad about your favorite tributes dying to friend's tributes (or whoever else they were rooting for in this case), but it's no big deal, really. And as Ichi himself told you earlier, you can always talk to Dusk about this when you have time!"
"Of course!" says Miranda, remembering when she wrote to Ichi about Power's condition.

Oh, Spike, I-... (June is a bit hesitant to tell Spike what he did while under control of the bracer, but as she is trying to find the words, things suddenly go very wrong.)
(July is so shocked at the redirected Hyper Beam that she freezes for a moment before quickly running with Tokage.)
(Before August even realizes what going on, she is sent rolling head over heels away.) ALEX!! (She exclaims, shocked and visibly angry from the punch. However, once she gets up and sees what happened to Alex, her anger quickly melts away and turns to horror.)
ALEX!!! (August exclaims, running over with July and June (still carrying Spike) not far behind. She heaves a sigh of relief when she sees that he'll be alright.) Thank goodness most Pokémon like us tend to be pretty durable, huh? I'm glad you're gonna be okay, Al.
(August sticks Alex’s hat back on his head and gives him a playful grin.)

(Oscar similarly gets very worried when the noise stops, but is immediately followed by angry yelling.) Should we get out…? (He wonders.)

(They, Ben, and Sidon move over in the others' direction.)
(Knox roughly yanks the bracer off (luckily without further injury to Discord), and it's at this point he realizes he is considerably smaller and squatter in appearance.)
Oh, DAMN IT! (Knox snarls.)
I warned you to be careful, Knox! (Greta says.)
Yeah, just hurry up and get me and Mr. Hodge-Podge here back to normal! (Knox says.)
(He looks over at Arthur.) They’re out tryin' to make sure that the X can’t get off this planet.
Yeah? So they’re out helping the other Mawkin then? (Wanda asks.)
(Knox grimaces, and Wanda immediately realizes that something is wrong.)
Raven Butt sent the X after 'em. (Knox says.) I dunno how many of 'em coulda escaped, but it sure didn’t look to us like any of 'em did.
Even the ones whom we spoke to? (Cleo asks.)
(Knox shakes his head.) That Fleetin' Leaf guy probably ain’t gonna be asking for his armor back anytime soon.
(Wanda hangs her head with a sullen expression.)
Sort of had a feeling that Raven Beak had another trick up his sleeve. (Tenn says.)
Indeed. And a most terrible trick it was. (Henry says.)

It’s not fair. (Wanda grunts.) Some of them seemed like they really wanted to move on to better things if they made it through this mess. I was even thinking about asking Fleeting Leaf if he wanted to join us after all this. I doubt he would have agreed, but still...
Corrupted Quarters
(Veena is quick to gingerly place Rarity back down and out of her own watery self. Veena drops the water gem and returns to normal.)
Rarity, I'm sorry... (Veena says, hurriedly using some of her healing venom on Rarity. She looks toward Scipion.) Scipion, I understand having that kind of power must have felt nice, but you almost ended up hurting some of us. You have to be careful.
Altford Jail
(Short Stuff notices that Skarbick is pacing around.) Lookin' to wear a path through the floor, hmm? (He remarks, not thinking much of what Skarbick is doing.)
(Stanford notices Skarbick pacing.) That counterpart of mine has been pacing for quite some time.
Yeah? Not much else we can do in here, you know. (Eye-Sicle says.)
That’s true, I suppose. (Stanford agrees.)
(Sylvie likewise notices the unfriendly-looking Delphox a few cells over staring quite intently in the direction of Skarbick and Sherman’s cell. Her Psychic abilities aren’t especially strong yet, but nevertheless she can’t help feeling that something about him is…off.)

Star shrugs. "If Ichi didn't say anything about how other creatures in your Equestria thought about it, then it probably means he had nothing to say about it at all."
"But but... this is a big a deal for me, y'know?"
She groans. "Come on, Bez, he already liked that dress Pow-Pow made for you! Isn't that already his way of saying that he's not judging you for it either?"
"I think so... Sorry if I'm being annoying about it, Ich..."
The Science Center, Safety Shelter
6k1 video calls Nomi and asks them about their "involvement" last season, and they giggle at her.
"Silly 6k1, that wasn't me! There's no way my augment would've been dark magic, unlike that other Nomi!"
"Really? How did you know?"
"Well, Rex heard from Engineering that an eerily identical parallel universe version of myself was nominated last season, and he invited me and Sol to watch it just to see how different they were from me! And besides, if dark magic was my augment, I would've discovered it waaaaaay back when I was a lil' kid and told my mom and dad right away about it!"
6k1 nods as she tries keeping up with how fast they're talking.
"I see..."
However, this Nomi isn't aware that the "other" Nomi didn't use VR last season and that it was likely "Arena influence" on the data clone's part.
"Anyway... who are those people with you?"
"Oh, these are my friends, Juan, Stacy, and—"
Nomi gasps at PV. "OMG! Is that a polar bear?! I've only seen them in the holo-archives!"

Swain and Nomi have since exited the elevator and were walking through the halls, searching for the room on the key. “I do hope the room has two beds. If not, you’re sleeping on the floor. You wouldn’t mind, would you?” He turned to Nomi, and his expression made it clear it wasn’t actually a question. Nomi’s eyes widened, and they stammered: “S-sure, I wouldn’t mind sleeping on the floor if I have to.” As they were walking, Nomi stated: “I think it’s really cool to be here. I’ve only ever seen this kinds of stuff in the holoarchives, so it’s nice to see this for real.” Swain nodded his head. “I myself have never seen many of these things. Like those things on four wheels… what did you call them? Cars? Yes, cars. And-“ He froze in place, and his eyes widened. After a few seconds, he returned to normal. “Woah! Are you okay, Swain? Did ya see something?” Swain shook himself. “Why yes, I did. Just this city. Lots of things going on. I saw a homeless man sleeping on a bridge.” Nomi’s jaw dropped. “That’s pretty cool! If I could see everything, I’d be pretty grossed out by all the things I’d see. I wish that was my augment. Oh, here’s the room!” The two stopped, and Nomi fumbled with the key a little before they finally managed to open it. There! After you!”

"Oh wow, a talking polar bear, just like in the old Earth cartoons!" says "6k1's" Nomi, but then their smile quickly turns into a frown. "But yeah, I've never seen a real-life one until now 'cuz I grew up on a spaceship that left my Earth long ago..."
"Really? Why?" asks Juan.
They sigh. "Wars and climate change destroyed it 'cuz humans were so careless, and the remaining survivors, me included, had no choice but to leave for another planet — Vertumna! It's cool that it's full of awesome alien stuff like in my fave anime, but using the Garrison's virtspace room in S314 was the only time I got to experience what Earth was really like, even if just for a very short time, hehe!"
"Well technically," says 6k1, "Panem was also founded after huge parts of North America got flooded due to climate change, but despite the corrupt government back then, humanity managed to survive on this planet! Still, even with all the fancy tech to run the Hunger Games as you know it now and society becoming more progressive ever since Paylor took office, it's still kinda like Earth Prime in some ways, outside the absurdly wacky stuff in the Arena!"
"Wow really?! That's ah-mazing! And I'm glad you nominators got rid of your tyrant ruler just like Sol and Marz did with ours! Governor Lum was just as awful as President Snow, I tell ya!"
"Rarity, are you okay? We gotta get you and your friends outta here soon!"
Kirby
Looniversity Room
Kirby then sees Alex getting hit. He runs up to him.
"Oh gosh!" he said.
"Are you okay?" asked Bandana Dee.
Kirby then looks at CAC, innocently. Elfilin then looks around.
"Kirby, what should we do now?" he asked.
The Voidlands, Outside the Base
Shadow Kirby then witnesses a small, octopus-like creature
◊ being confronted by two feathered, birdlike creatures vaguely resembling small theropod dinosaurs.
"Help!" he screams.
"That creature's in trouble!" Shadow Kirby exclaims.

"It's alright, at least I made new friends here!" says Nomi.
"Good to hear," says Juan. "Anyway, what's this about your augment not being dark magic?"
"Oh! Every parent who settles here can choose to alter their child's DNA with one trait of their liking before they're born. Then most of time, the kid discovers what it is when they turn six! Some of them are small appearance changes such as animal parts like Rex's dog ears, others are mental mods such as Dys's literal fearlessness, while a few have actual superpowers straight outta comic books, like Nemmie's blue-green scales that cover up her wounds!"
They then make pew-pew noises as they pump their other fist randomly in the air.
"So in a way, you're born either with or without an augment," says Juan, nodding. "But what if you don't like it?"
Nomi then shrugs. "That's why I don't know what mine actually is, or if I even have one! All this time I thought I was a late bloomer, but it turns out my 'rents are keeping it a secret from me! They don't want me to worry about living up to anyone's expectations just 'cuz I have an augment like almost everyone else if I do have one!"

Alex giggled as August put his hat back on his head, returning the grin.
"Aaw... Thanks a lot, Auggy, you rock. Man, I'd hate to see it torn up." he said, leaning against her.
Tokage, after he was finished, took a very long breath and turned his head to see July by his side. Calming down, he smiled gratefully at her and stayed by her side.
"Sorry, CAC, I was just... Well, that mission is starting to get on everyone's nerves. I hope you really mean what you just said." he said to him.
"Hey... Good news is that it should be over soon right? Just gotta kick the bad guys's butt, find Squishy and the rest of our mates, and we'll be back home in no time." Alex said.
"It's not that simple, but... yeah. If Aaron manages to take care of Twilight, we should be able to breathe a bit. I hope the others are okay. I don't know if they got ambushed too." Tokage said.
"Oh my... Thank goodness you are alright, dear Knox." James said.
"Thank fuck it's over..."
Knox then explained where he had been. The Fiery Blue Wings looked at him with wide eyes.
"W-Wait... He sent those monsters after them? You can't possibly mean...?" James asked in shock.
"That sick bastard! It's disgusting. They were his soldiers. His people. You're telling me he decided to free the parasites they already struggled to contain to wipe them out just because we showed them what a piece of shit he was??" Nick exclaimed.
"I don't want to bring down the mood... But if Knox is right, then what do we do?" Arthur grumbled. James gulped at the remark before shaking his head to recompose himself.
"One thing at a time, my friends. As alarming as this is, we should not panic. First, let us help them and regroup with our friends. Maybe Knox could tell us more about the situation then." James said to his teammates.
"Meh... At least I injured her for you to take off her stupid bracer. But I reckon you're... right." Scipion reluctantly grunted.

Swain and Nomi have since made themselves comfortable in their room, which thankfully has two beds. Nomi is surfing through tv channels eagerly while Swain is sitting in a chair in a corner, lost in his thoughts. A silence hangs in the room, before Nomi breaks it. “How can you see all those things going on? Do you have eagle eyes? Did your parents give you that as an augment? ‘cuz I know plenty of people who have animal augments, like Rex and-“ Nomi stoped themself when they realize that Swain had a less than patient expression on his face. “My powers weren’t received as an “augment”, whatever that is. Once I controlled my demon, I was granted his power. I’ve told you this before. And for the record, my parents are dead.” Nomi’s face fell a little. “Oh. Sorry for your loss.” Swain scoffed. “Don’t be. I killed them myself for serving the Black Rose. They were traitors to Noxus and had to die for it.” Nomi’s eyes widened. The tv still droned in the background, the earth animals that were being displayed not being so interesting anymore. Desperately trying to change the subject, Nomi said “Uhh… what’s your favorite show? I got plenty, but I really like this cool cartoon called Turbogirl Hyperjet Transform! It’s really cool! What kinda cartoons does Noxus have?” Swain raised an eyebrow. “Tell me, my dear, what is a “cartoon”? I’ve never heard of it. Noxus does have gladiator pits. In fact, an old friend of mine is the reigning champion. His brother is one of my most trusted peers.” With the uncomfortable subject of parent killing out of the way, Nomi reverted back their energetic self. “Well, cartoons are this really cool thing were you animate drawings to move like real people, and there’s all kinds, and they’re all super duper amazing, and-“ Nomi continued going on a tangent espousing animation, before Swain decided to ask a question of its own. “All this talk of augments has gotten me curious. What is your augment?” “Oh, I dunno. My parents never told me and hid my medical files, so it’s a secret. I may not even have one!” But is alright; I’ve done pretty well without it!” “I don’t understand the pint of augmentation. Those born with magic rarely recognize it curse until it is too late. But enough of this. Let’s see what this “television” can show us, hmm?” Nomi grinned. “Alright!”

"Yeah! Unfortunately 6k1 had to cancel her vacation early due to Bill Cipher crashing it, but at least she was warned of that ahead of time and was able to visit her mom!"

Sabre and Tricky were well out of the way of the overloading beams, though this didn't stop Tricky from wincing in sympathy. Sabre took advantage of the lull in the fighting to retrieve his sword, and the two of them stepped up toward the others.
"Do we have a healer?" asked Tricky, concerned.
"Don't worry," said Sabre. "We'll hold out long enough to have one." As he approached CAC, he turned to address the nominator. "As for you... Try not to take moral advice from people openly out to destroy the world. It doesn't end well."
With that, the duo turned their attention to Twilight, ready to help remove her bracer if needed.
ZDR, Corrupted Quarters
"Just hang in there," said Kaidan to Applejack. "We'll get you out safely." He pulled out his communicator and tapped into it. "This is Alenko. We've got a few more prisoners to extract. Does anyone read?"
"I do!" came Kyte's voice. "Good news: We're in, and we found a way off this planet! We're coming up to show you!"
"Good. I'll see you soon, then." Kaidan nodded and turned back to the others. "We should rejoin the others. Hopefully they've been watching their targets better than we have."
ZDR, Teleporter Room
The Red Squad lowered their weapons as the last of the bracers were removed. Rivet stepped up to help get the Perizoid under control. "Stay calm," she said. "It's got a reverse command. We should be able to get you back to normal."
Shepard gave a nod to the others. "Good work, team," said the Commander before turning to Ashley. "Glad you could join us, Williams. Are the others coming?"
"They're on their way," said Ashley. "As Peridot said, they found us a ship."
"Excellent," Shepard said. "Rookie, go find those mutants we captured - we'll want to get them out of here too."
The cat rookie saluted and headed out.
Upon hearing the news from Knox, the team shared a look of concern.
"That would explain the abandoned gear," said Ashley. "Damn it."
"The Mawkin were specially chosen to contain the X," said Saheeli. "How could they get wiped out so fast?"
"Looks like they weren't as up to it as they thought," said Shepard. "Not too surprising after they put a fox in charge of their henhouse."
"Might want to rephrase that a bit, Shepard!" said Cassandra Beech over the comm. "Not all of us are poultry thieves, you know!"
"...Right. Forgot about that."
"I hope their souls find peace," said Ashley. "And Raven Beak..." She gritted her teeth and clutched her rifle more tightly. "He's earned a special place in Hell for this."

"That unfortunately cannot be helped, as it seems not much else would volunteer to host. But if there is anything that I can help you for..."
"But I though that there are benefits for having inactive times for others! They could use the time to do other stuff. Either ways, I have prepared Yuuki and Enju for the season. Don't get too attached to them, because we know what happened with Anne and Touma.

Ally looks around the Shelter and asks around, Is there anyone here who can assist her family in repairing it?
"You know, that reminds me of how Abuela Alma used to treat her family when they received their Gifts from Casita's magic doors..." says 6k1, "...and how she mistreated Mirabel for not getting hers."
"What, really?" asks Nomi.
"Yeah, she pressured those with Gifts into believing that they're worthless if they can't use them to help the community, while she shamed Mirabel for not getting one at all."
"Oh no... I think my parents made the right decision not to tell me about my augment, if any, at all!"
"But wouldn't it be cool if you found out what it is?" asks Juan.
"Well yeah, I wish I were a superhero like in the old Earth comics, but for now, I'm fine just the way I am — a friendly, quirky nerd!"
"That's great!" says 6k1. "I'm fine with not having any superpowers either, but I do make up for it with my tech!"
"But if your parents did give you dark magic, Nomi, then I'm gonna question why they did so," adds Juan.
"Not all dark magicians are evil though," says 6k1.
"Yeah, but I don't wanna imagine having that as my augment!" says Nomi.

CAC: (scared) Well, I didn't lie per se, I was still trying to heal from it. As for why did I join the m-mission, it was to finally redeem myself in my eyes and be a hero. I just couldn't just stand there and do nothing all the time, specially given I saw what Dark Stanford was capable and that Voidlands Metroid outside the Arena. And for not listening, well... the feeling of guilt is not exactly that easy to get over. You need to understand!!!
(Meanwhile, Dick and Elfin see the center of Aaron and Twilight's Beam-O-War heading towards them. Dick goes back to his normal form, and both him and Elfin try to get the hell away)
