Jontron started ranting against anti-Trump activists on Twitter and ended up doing a stream with Carlgon filled with the typical anti-SJW bullshit rhetoric.
Saying "Commulists" seems to just be extra gravy.
Seriously, though, if you're talking with the likes of Sargon and agreeing with him, you sort of open yourself up to mockery by the people who critic the MRM movement, which hbomberguy has like half or more of his content around.
Did Jontron get in contact with the wrong people or something (Stupid question considering it's Sargon whom I regret even watching in hindsight)? I don't recall him ever being politically outspoken and this just reeks of someone whispering bullshit in his ears to get more publicity....
I rather not have to unsubscribe to him considering I love his gaming videos but if this political spree gets out of hand I am probably going to drop him despite the reluctance.

I don't follow Jon at all, but from what I hear, until a couple of months ago he barely mentioned his political believes. So, to me it seems he always had this kind of opinion but just never publicized it. Which is probably for the best. He will probably lose part of his audience if he allows it to spill into his content (then again, he might gain new viewers as well).
There is having a different opinion, and then there is hanging out with Sargon and Breibart. Jon Tron deserves all the mockery H Bomberguy gives to him.
I mean, from what I can see Jon is not the worst reactionary You Tube out there, not even close. But if he wants to get chummy with then than he gotta be judged for it.

It's a bit unnerving to me honestly as he never came across as the type of guy whom would hold these kind of beliefs. Then again their is a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes so maybe he always had this or a leech from the alt-right (probably Sargon or Brietbart) is pulling the strings.
Honestly looking back on it Sargon is a fucking snake. When I first listened him I didn't realize how much of a silver tongue he had until a bit later when I discovered just via simple research that a lot of his stuff is bullshit and cherrypicked.
Still it makes me wonder if Egoraptor way back in the day had more of an reason to split from Jon then any of us realize. I heard Peanut Butter Gamer got into an nasty argument with Jon over this...

Fallout 3 is a cool game, I mainly watch hbomb for politics
He had a bit of a fit after being criticized like 3 years ago, but I always gave him the benefit of the doubt for that one

"I could eat a knob at night" - Karl PilkingtonI'm pretty sure Jon Tron threw his hat into the ring that was Gamergate yonks back so like, no surprise that he ended up being chummy with the kind of folks that orchestrated and profited off of it.
And yeah, there's "having a different opinion" and suggesting that people "take up arms against cultural marxists feminists who are ruining America". Having a different opinion is liking pineapple on pizza or thinking the Star Wars prequels are good, not shit like this Aurinian bullshit

I'm having to learn to pay the price...Is it bad that when I first saw Carl's username, I thought it was the protagonist of a shitty fantasy novel?
Direct all enquiries to Jamie B GoodWe all knew this was coming.
I expected the train to be foreshadowing for an incoming jump scare.
Jesus Christ, where has this guy been all my life?
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Somewhere in England, presumably.
I like this guy, I really do. Wish he had more notoriety, he's really smart and fun to watch.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? He's only been around for a while and produces his content slowly so.... notoriety is going to have to be built. He's got time.
I hope so. He's already gotten a bit of a cult following among some of the more social justice oriented people on Reddit, by the looks of it.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? When you hold a gathering for your BS abusers club and it's 100% SJW infilitrated.
SJW EXPANDED UNIVERSE
The world will look up and shout "Save us", and I'll look down and whisper "Too bad, Waluigi Time" Vote Loki 2016Well if anyone's free right now hbomberguy is apparently doing a stream with a buddy while he places computer chess.
New video: In Defense of Dark Souls 2. He makes some interesting points so I'll go necro the DS 2 thread.
1 2 We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be. -KVWhat Modern Games Can Learn From Yooka-Laylee got put up yesterday. It's a neat look at the game mechanics, and also raises some important questions, "Does Gex fuck?" being the most important.
they're gonna find intelligent life up there on the moon/and the canterbury tales will shoot up to the top of the best-seller listI never did play Banjo Kazooie. The only thing close to it I think is I maybe played Crash Bandicoot a few times.
But you know, I kind of like how Yooka Laylee looks and I'd be interested in playing it or something like it. Also, watching him just press forward in that Assassin's Creed game makes me wonder why anyone thought just making "press forward" as a regular mechanic was fun.
It is fun if that mechanic is not supposed to be the focus. I never played Assassin's Creed, so I can't say if it make sense there, but if the core engagement of your game is not platforming, then having the character performs this actions easily saves time and frustration. If that is not what is supposed to be fun about the game, then it is alright if it is simple.
Like, to give an example, take Zelda Ocarina of Time. You can't jump in that game. You just press forward into an edge and Link jumps automatically (and also perform other movement actions, such as climbing). That is obviously not a recent game, it is from the Banjo Kazooie and Mario 64 era (both games which have way more engaging forms of movement). Nintendo clearly knew how to make more interesting movement, but they opted not to, because that was not the point of the game. Your explore dungeons, solve puzzles and fight monsters, you don't platformnote . Of course, the most recent Zelda game does have a jump button, but that is because moving and exploring freely is a core engagement of that game.
Basically, not every feature is for every game. Even "fun" features can be unnecessary, or even unwelcome, in the wrong games, so they can be simplified and/or removed.
Because, JonTron had the AUDACITY of having... a differing opinion!
You gotta start somewhere.
