It's always possible. Though were there new Final Fight installments after Hugo, Rolento, Sodom, Guy, Maki and Cody joined SF cast? I know they tried a new one for the PS 2 with...unfortunate results.
Darkstalkers have gotten a lot of references and cameos over the years and that hasn't resulted in any revival. No matter how hard Ono pushed for it.
Same with Rival Schools.
We've been through this before. I wish there were doing a new game in those series, but i won't get my hopes up.

Then don't, nothing really happens if Darkstalkers & Rivals Schools don't come back. It's slime, sure, but at worst people go back to being disappointed with Capcom as usual.
There are reasons to believe that Capcom could be considering reviving some of their older IPs.
The 1st being Itsuno has made it very clear that he's interested in bringing back Rivals School & if Akira's inclusion in SF V is any indication there's a chance that the entire series could be over the horizon.
2nd, in the last decade all of Capcom's competitors have at least 2 fighting games under their belt while Capcom always had to rely on a VS game as their 2nd choice. Even Sega is considering bringing Virtua Fighter back to the fold which could possibly encourage Capcom to consider doing the same with their own IPs.
And if Capcom still also wants to be known for their fighting games then reviving one of their old fighting games is a pretty legit way to go about it. I can certainly understand the fear & there's plenty of times these clamors come across as thoughts & prayers than actual support. On top of that Capcom could easily decide that one of their non-fighting game IPs would be a better investment. Not to mention Capcom could also decide to basically canon weld all their old IPs into Street Fighter & prioritize Street Fighter as their sole fighting game.
Ultimate Marvel 3 tournament on Monday, hosted on Twitch.
Holy Christ, that was weirdly nostalgic.
Umvc 3 is 10 years ild; its not weirdly nostalgic, its just nostalgic
Well, there was this joke that he brought Dan as a DLC in SFV with his Dan Legacy, as he got announced while he was doing it, so fingers crossed this tournament brings an announcement of Mvs C 4
Never heard that until now, so I'm not holding my breath. I will however hold my breath for MvC news during the Video Game Awards next month.
In 4 months it'll be a decade. *sigh* Hard to believe MVC 3 was actually a thing.
I gotta be blunt on this, but there's not gonna be an MVC 4. Capcom got hacked recently & had a bunch of games leaked. Not only is there no MVC, but there's also not even another VS Game or any fighting games in the next 4 years.
If there's anything to hope for it's that somehow those leaks weren't everything on the drawing board, but that's already pretty slim for already a game that an incredibly slim chance being made to begin with.

The list had Street Fighter VI, Super Street Fighter VI and Ultra Street Fighter VI. Though SFVI was the only fighting game, that's more than none.
If you're referring to the leaked schedule that has stuff like Street Fighter VI, Dragon's Dogma 2, and RE4make, well, another thing not listed there is the next mainline Ace Attorney game... and that one's apparently been confirmed by previous leaks before the schedule. So it's still possible that MVC4 (or anything else) is happening, it's just not on that leaked schedule for whatever reason.
"SFVI was the only fighting game"
I believe another fighting game on that list would like to have a work with you.
This is not the greatest signature in the world, no... this is just a tribute.1st of all, thanks for the correction I appreciate it.
I wasn't really thinking about the SF 6 because at this point it feels mandatory for Capcom to release another Street Fighter. It's a little disappointing it just SF that's being focus but that's really nothing new.
The only reason I don't consider Power Stone a fighting game is because it relies heavily on gimmicks. That being said, please let there be another Power Stone game, I really miss offline multiplayer games.
As for being MVC being on a possible separate leak, I'll take that over nothing at all. I'm still very reluctant for Marvel & Capcom to collaborate with each other again, but I just want MVC last game to end on a better note.
I didnt think Power Stone was the kind of fighting game we were talking about. Power Stone AND Final Fight were in the leak if you want to take really broad definitions.
Could you imagine the (hypothetical) news being M vs C Infinite for the new gen, but with the models and the lackluster menu fixed?
And go the U Mvs C 3 path too and have new characters?
After all, the gameplay was beloved by everyone.
It was beloved by the people who took the time to play it and get a feel for it. Most didnt get that far. Word of mouth was and still is terrible for the game. I still see people who think the game was just bad all around from reputation alone.
I know some people who enjoyed most of the gameplay but not all of it. Some people don't like the Infinity Stones gimmick, but that's just Ignant and a few others, for the most part.
I don't know if this is actually really saying anything, but I did play all of the MVC games. I'm not entirely thrilled about the Infinity Gem mechanics in Infinite but there are at times it can help a character a lot. Hulk using the Time Gem can be stupidly fun.
I personally would rank Infinite my 3rd favorite in the series but I keep going back & forth with it with UMVC 3. Infinite might have one of the best tag mechanics in the entire series but the atmosphere is so bad. Everything is so lifeless while UMVC 3 is the complete opposite. But UMVC 3 has so many dumb mechanics. The worst chip damage system I've seen in any fighting games, freakin X-Factor, & the game keeps rewarding some of the most scummy playstyles out there. It feels like UMVC 3 is better than Infinite does.
And go the U Mvs C 3 path too and have new characters?
That's not necessarily enough, they would still have to work on the presentation. A lot of the Marvel characters on the male side look bad because they were designed to more cartoony looking. Hawkeye & Bucky shouldn't look that buff. The body proportion needs to redone.
They also need to have better BGM & voice acting, but really they could re-use all of UMVC 3's OST & call it day. UMVC 3 OST is so good they actually help with the presentation.
It's Marvel baby!
God, Assist Me did so much to inspire me to up my game in MVC 3.
I still can't Tri-Dash to save my life.
Hadn't heard about it before, but some people in the FGC have been doing a mod called Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 EX with new characters and updated moves. Think the MVC version of Project M.
Did you just recently find those?
They've been out for awhile.
Thanks. I'm aware of that.
Max talks about how the tournament came about and how he felt the MVC 3 era was the last time it really felt amazing to be a Capcom fighting game fan.
Some good stuff.

It’s clear Infinite broke his heart.
You do know that Max has said Infinite is his favorite in terms of gameplay, right?
It's just even with those five options that were mentioned, if they were most likely going to go with one of them, I figured with the amount of references and the fact Akira Kazama got confirmed for Street Fighter V that if Capcom was saying "hey, we might make a new game for one of these old franchises", those two would be the most likely.
