So I read the MKX comics, and wow, that was actually really fun! I thought a certain somebody was a bit too much deus ex machina(you could easily guess who) but I really enjoyed seeing some of the old timeline folks excluded from the game have their 5 minutes of fame. Havik and Reiko certainly Took A Level In Bad Ass.

I'm hoping nitara comes back next game.

I new conversation to talk about. How would Lui Kang surviving the attack by the deadly alliance change the outcome of the next few games?

My thoughts on the matter That depends on how events played out if we change his fight with the deadly alliance. I can possibly see deadly alliance going different since his survival is a boost to morale for the heroes and Raiden probably does not end up fighting alone against the deadly alliance. That still leaves them having to fight Onaga with no rest the only advantage they get from there is that half their allies are probably not dead and slaves to the dragon king and potentially not Dark Raiden. If scorpion and Shujinko are still working against each other in their hunt the outcome probably does not result in the dragon king being killed since canon ending if I remember correctly is scorpion nearly kills the dragon king before a ritual summons him somewhere else.

I don't think Liu Kang would be able to stop Armageddon unless Taven sought him out and coordinated with the heroes which I don't remember him doing.

So I feel his survival would make things better, but the heroes would still have to face a barrage of threats back to back.

Well he’s already dead, or undead. Nowhere to go with the Deadly Alliance.

But since they aren’t a factor (and judging from very preliminary rumors) up next is Onaga from Deception, who IIRC was given a...fair reception. Given how Netherrealm rejuivnated Shinnok, it oughta be fun to see what they do with him.

Anyone here didn't like how they made it that Johnny Cage can do his projectiles and Shadow Kicks all because he descended from a warrior cult? I mean, if that be the case, how do you explain Liu Kang's usage of projectiles, Kung Lao's teleporting, and Jax's Energy Wave and Ground Pound as some examples?

obviously it won't factor in the new games. I was continuing a hypothetical conversation that came up in the injustice game regarding the original timeline and how lui kang dying effected it.

I'm not seeing your logic here. Johnny's powers which were previously poorly explained anyway so it's nice to finally have it justified. I didn't like how Cassie's use of it was so deus ex machina though.

Not all projectiles are derived from the same power. Kung Lao/Liu kang are probably using chi manipulation do to being monks, Jax/sonya are using special forces weaponry/possible biological modifications, tanya/shang tsung/shinnok/quan chi use sorcery, etc. Johnny/cassie's thing is that theirs came from his ancestry of Mediterranean cult warriors.

I feel that plot point will play into MK 12. Like it turns out they worshipped Onaga or something.

Interesting stuff though the validity is held in question especially when it says that dead characters won't return yet mentioning Noob & Jade among the roster despite both or the latter at least being dead.

Thing that excites me the most is the possibility that Dark Raiden will be the games big bad. If its indeed true then I totally called it somewhere on this site.

I'm thoroughly disappointed that Sareena & Mileena isn't coming back. Quan Chi not making a return is also dis heartening to know. I was hoping to brutalize him again.

I am guessing jade will have something to do with the entity that is involved in her ending in MK 9.

Reptile not being playable may be a result of Onaga being back since in the old timeline Onaga possessed Reptile when he came across the last dragon egg.

Yeah. Though TBH I don't quite find reptile as major or necessary as most of his fans do. He's been a goon in most games with only mK4 giving him the most focus, too bad about that awful design.

Would not mind sheeva coming back though. Kano's son would be legit tbh.But who will kano's BD buddy be? Kobra? Kira? Actually what I'm looking forward to most is seeing the 3D era guys reimagined. Like imagine if they could make daegon actually cool. I do kind of hope Nitara is playable though. Give her some cooler moves and she'd have some fun variation possibilities.

Well the apparent list doesn't state the entire roster. I mena it doesn't list Scorpion but we all know he's coming back so maybe Reptile too.

Though I hope the villains are playable in the story mode. I'd like to play as Erron Black (hopefully hes in it) cause he was my favorite newcomer of X.

I also hope that if Dark Raiden is indeed the final boss than its Emperor Liu Kang that fights him in the final battle.

And probably the final battle of it, this time ending with a more hopeful ending than MKX?

Nitara is one of the few new designs post 4 no one hated too much. I wouldn’t mind seeing her back.

As opposed to say, Hsu Hao.

Except Sub-Zero & Scorpion are listed in probably category since because of their arcade ending. I don't know how that logic works but I seriously doubt the 2 most popular characters won't make it in.

Hsu Hao is a horrible measurement stick.

Hsu Hao being the first guy to die in the MKX comic is still one of the funniest things to me.

I don't actually find him the worst though. Mokap wins that title.

Hoping Dvorrah stays, she was sick. Plus she's team netherealm so she seems like she'd be involved somehow. Would be cool if Ferra's arcade ending was canon and she's the new torr with a new rider. Agreed with Erron Black as well. I still think Sareena has a chance, but...ah. You know,they might do like Triborg and make her and her buddies a composite character, with each one being a variation. That'd be neat.

Also I heard Kai was originally going to be in MKX but they replaced him with bo Rai Cho :[ If that is not some grade A garbage....screw bo rai cho. I feel like they could finally do Kai justice with today's tech and flesh him out better but NO.

My utter beef against the Story aside, just like in Injustice 2, if NRS is still going to fix the online for SE Asia, I don't think I'd be buying this game. They can have the greatest Earn Your Happy Ending, but if I can't even go online, then I'm so sorry. Still no buy...

Unless there's a bigass amount of single player content besides story...

Ya know I thought of this so I wonder if the reason why Raiden is in Injustice 2 is because they wanted to try out the gear system on another MK character to see if it works. Maybe their deciding whether or or not to implement it into MK 11.

I hope the answer is "no" then. Being restricted to Ranked matches just because you don't want to deal with this gear bullshit is the ultimate reason I never bought Injustice 2.

While Unbalanced as any equipment system is it was cool to have the ability to customize characters to suit the look and play style of the individual. That is the general vibe I get from the gear system.

That's true. If it were purely cosmetic from the start, it'd probably be the best customizing system on the block, since Tekken 7 downgraded its own.
