Double post. Finally reading the Ultraman 2011 Manga. Seeing the little differences between it and the anime is interesting.
Just finished the Igaaru arc, and was surprised that he fully transformed in the manga, compared to the anime where he remained tiny and kinda pathetic.
Will get back to Tiga soon.
One Strip! One Strip!Triple Post. Said I'd get back to Tiga soon. I meant it.
Just watched episode 13, which is fitting since I'm also reading the Ultraman manga.
Seeing Tiga fight at completely normal size was interesting. I liked the part where Horii looked up when told Tiga was there, because he immediately assumed Tiga was a giant, only to be surprised when he sees Human sized Tiga.
And then that one alien tries to shrink him. A pretty worthless move on an Ultra.
As I understand it, fighting at normal size doesn't happen too often, though I hear Ultraseven did it often.
But this puts the entirety of the Ultraman Manga into perspective. It's not so crazy for everyone to always be at non-giant height in that series, especially since we know the original Ultraman himself could grow if he wanted.
I'm actually willing to bet almost every alien in the manga series can grow big, but most choose not to.
One Strip! One Strip!Ultraseven did it often since his whole deal was fighting mostly aliens and not all of them grew giant. Plus the shrinking part happened since the 1966 show where Ultraman regrew after Dada tried to shrink him with his shrink ray. The only times shrinking works on Ultras is when they get magiced or something like Leo and X

"Bingo! If two species hate each other, they will wipe each other out on their own."Episode 14 of Tiga down.
In this show, the most dangerous game hunts you!
And effectively too. Both of those aliens are dead. Shove that bastard's head up his Ass Tiga.
<See's the Alien's head is actually his tail>
Huh. That's weird, but it does make my request easier.
Also, read more of the Ultraman Manga. Finished the arc that the second season was based on. Damn. I think Izumi went out better than Dave. Being shot in the face isn't exactly dignifying. Also, Kotaro seems a little goofier in the manga....at least until he watches his friend get shot. Then he gets dead serious.
I've actually noticed that while still relatively serious, the manga is a little more liberal with the goofy expressions. I fee like it has slightly more of a sense of humour. Maybe the choice of CGI limited what the anime could do on that front.
Anyway, I just finished the Leo Bros arc. It's interesting. With those two and Marie, we're only missing a few more Ultras to represent the entirety of the Showa era (80, Yulian, Father of Ultra, and King). I don't know if the series is still ongoing, but I'm wondering if they'll pull it off.
Either way, my Ultra journey continues.
One Strip! One Strip! There's still the arc the final season of the anime is badly based on.
Yeah. I've managed to get to the end of the the current chapters the place I found had. I stopped at 124.
So I can see a whole bunch of stuff in the final arc of the anime here.
Rena as an Ultraman, the fake Ultramen, Ido being the final villain probably by combining him with his brother Damned, and Shinjiro becoming taking on a more Ultraman-esque form sans the armour and becoming a giant of Light.
Not sure why the anime went so off the rails, even in the second season where they changed a lot of stuff.
Anyway, I'm wondering if there are more chapters. Like I said, the place I found it on only went to 124 and last updated back in February of this month. Hopefully, they'll keep putting more stuff up, or I can find more perfectly legal means to see the rest of it.
One Strip! One Strip!Yeah that's all that's out. No group is translating it so all that gets put online is the official volumes. Nowhere you can read it, legal or illegal, will ever have more than up to whatever the current volume is.

Shit. So I'm stuck then? That's a killer.
I was hoping to find more since the Ultra Wiki seems to talk about stuff past Chapter 124.
Edit: Episode 15 down.
Gazort (the one who thinks Friends are tasty) is back. He's defeated when Mayumi's boyfriend becomes a ghost.
Because now there's ghosts. Makes sense.

One Strip! One Strip!Episode 16 of Tiga.
An fearsome Oni appears. He can keep fighting even as a head. He pulls a damned sword out of the mountain.
Both me and Horii agree that the sword out of the mountain was unfair.
Anyway, he is defeated when the ghost samurai who defeated him throws a sword in his face.
....That's the second time they dealt with a ghost (though this one was possessing someone else).
One Strip! One Strip!Double post for Tiga 17.
Nothing quite as heartwarming as an old lady riding on an Alien's back.
I honestly didn't expect Redle to make when he deliberately went out in the dark (which is his weakness) to help, but sure enough, he lived.
One Strip! One Strip!Been a while, but episode 18 down.
Golza returns, but Tiga deals with him by dropping him in a volcano.
He had it coming.
One Strip! One Strip!I love volcanos.
They solve so many problems in fiction.
Ultraman: Rising director Shannon Tindle just tweeted that Diplo is contributing to the soundtrack and the new trailer drops tomorrow.

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire. It's not even the first time an Ultra chucked a monster down a volcano.
If all else fails, use fire. The new Ultraman Rising trailer:
...huh. Have we ever seen a rise sequence from any other perspective like that?
Here’s a link to the specific thread for the movie if anyone wants to discuss there.

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Episode 19.
GUTS! IN! SPACE!
Tiga is fighting a robot underwater. There's an evil space Island!
And we got our first two parter. Will Tiga escape before the robot self destructs and takes him down?
Stand up Tiga!
You don't want to be blown up on your back, now do you?
One Strip! One Strip!
Episode 12 down.
Man. I ain't ever seen a monster troll someone as hard as this dude did Tiga. It was just fucking with him the entire fight.
And it ends with Rena stripping and revealing a bathing suit. Odd one.
Edit:
Also, does anyone know where I could read the 2011 Ultraman Manga. I’ve seen the anime, and now I’d like to check out the source material.Just PM me about it.Edit 2: Never mind. Found it all of a sudden after years of failing. Funny how that works.
