Is it possible to get notifiers for specific playlists, instead of entire channels?
Optimism is a duty.I wish, but no. You can "copy" playlists to your own account, but I think you have to check them yourself for new additions.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Why do I keep getting Oney Plays clips and compilations when I'm looking up Linkara videos? Do those two have beef or something?
Ugh, that's annoying. It's such a hassle on big channels that churn out loads of content where you're only interested in a few playlists.
Optimism is a duty.Indeed, I'd certainly use that feature as well, but at least the Algorithm usually does a good job of keeping me up to date to non-subscribed channels with instances of some of their videos I'm wanting to keep up to date with and others I'm not interested in.
On that tangent, it's why I always disliked how the Machinima channel worked, because I was only interested in a few creators from that collective (namely Freeman's Mind), and it was upsetting that I couldn't just subscribe to Ross Scott's Freeman's Mind and forget all the crap that came with Machinima. Good riddance that the Machinima channel is no more.

Yeah, those aggregate channels can be a real pain to follow creators on.
Optimism is a duty.Aggregate channels themselves aren't the core of that problem, though. Machinima, for example, was a CN/aggregator that bought up a lot of IPs and then mistreated the heck out of them. Second Wind, by contrast, has opened up a lot of people's minds to content that they completely missed when it was on The Escapist, since that channel was memetically known for Zero Punctuation and nothing else despite having a lot of really great stuff.
"Only here for the X" can be the fans' fault as much as the channel's.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I am thankful that we're seeing less of that now. Those part of a collective still tend to run their own channels, but the brand name does spread a little bit of interest around (such as Webvideo/Vinesauce).
What's wrong with "Only Here For The X"? We're not obligated to watch or like everything on an aggregate channel, or to try out other creators we're not interested in.
Optimism is a duty.Depends on why you're using the platform. Is it to narrowly follow the things you're interested in and ignore everything else, or is it to discover new things you might like? YouTube is organized around the latter, and so are most other platforms.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Good god, Minecraft videos are everywhere.
"Some people are damaged. Some people are really damaged. And then... some people are broken."I just watched Eiyuden to confirm that in fact it has really boring combination attacks. Why am I being assaulted with problematic "localization bad" videos?
On the former, to be honest, at least when it comes to discovering new creators to follow. I only have a limited amount of time, so I try to avoid discovering new creators, because otherwise I will just spend all my days catching up on way too many creators.
This goes especially with the incredibly common model of creating one video a week. Those start adding up, especially the longer ones. And I only tolerate a very few channels with daily content.
I mean, I saw how that went on Not Always Right. At first, early on, I was reading maybe half an hour a day, but they kept adding more and more content, until I was reading three hours a day, and it became both addictive and disruptive. There is such a thing as Too Much Of A Good Thing, and Youtube is very good at providing that.

Optimism is a duty.Well, that's the rub. Every content creator wants to get your limited time to watch them because they want their Youtube career to work out.
Yeah, and not all of them understand that more content isn't necessarily better, even if the individual pieces are still good. There is such a thing as overwhelming and exhausting your audience.
Optimism is a duty. From what I know, Oney poked fun at Linkara's really old webcomics and calls him the Lightbringer, which Linkara absolutely hates to be called I guess. Haven't really looked into it beyond that.
YouTube's algorithm doesn't know that Oney "has beef" with Linkara or vice versa. What it knows is that people who watch videos from one creator often also watch videos from the other.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Once again, RSS to the rescue! Every playlist, like every channel, has its own RSS feed. In the case of playlists, it's https://www.youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml?playlist_id=YOUR_PLAYLIST_ID_HERE
For example, the official Atop the Fourth Wall playlist starts here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=poI5dBNien0&list=PLxCy3y2-ZD2H1AMxivsI-2mdueYzp3LcT&index=1&pp=iAQB The playlist ID is everything between list= and the next ampersand, which in this case is PLxCy3y2-ZD2H1AMxivsI-2mdueYzp3LcT
Thus, the URL for that specific playlists RSS feed is: https://www.youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml?playlist_id=poI5dBNien0&list=PLxCy3y2-ZD2H1AMxivsI-2mdueYzp3LcT
I recently learned that Feedly just needs the URL of a YouTube account to generate an RSS feed; I imagine you could do the same thing with a playlist.
I think so. All I know about OneyPlays is that their fans like to keep annoying Linkara about his old webcomic on his Monday livestreams.

Ukrainian Red CrossProbably the comparison is that Linkara doesn't really take the jokes that well while Doug Walker is much more accepting of them, and Doug gets lambasted much more i believe.
Been a while since keep up with oneyplays. I don't really like how they never finish games.
Uni catHas anyone been having problems with views on your videos? Like for some reason, every time I look at my views for my videos, the views go down for some reason, even though the day before, the views were high,
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Could it be the system filtering double views or something?
Optimism is a duty.Filtering double views?
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Like, if someone watches the video twice, it should only count as one, right?
Optimism is a duty.I think it's more "How many times the video has been viewed" than "How many people have viewed it".
Very good.
Optimism is a duty.
