Injustice: DC fighting games

Yeah, Aquaman really isn't down there in "Super Friends tier" anymore. He's worked his way out of there a while ago.

Looking through some possible villains...DC bad guys dress in dumb costumes.

And MARVEL Villains' duds are better? I mean, what's with Loki's helmet?

Hopefully, Netherrealm pulls a "Deathstroke," and showcase another obscure, interesting character or two.

It seem that DC is always having problems with Video Game Adaptations. MARVEL makes it through quite well. Why can't DC?

Also, was MORTAL KOMBAT VS DC UNIVERSE that bad?

Touche. I guess I was spoiled by Batman's ridiculously cool rogue's gallery that stuff like Granny Goodness just makes me smack my head against a wall.

And from what I've heard, no, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe wasn't that bad. In fact, most of the complaints I've heard are due to the Mortal Kombat side, not the DC side. Or rather, that DC has specific things they will and won't allow their characters to do/have done to them, and that doesn't really gel with Mortal Kombat's MO.

In other words, the fatalities ended up being laaaaaaame.

JAF explained that, already. Gamespot has an exclusive on the trailer, so all the youtube clips were taken down.

it wasn't so bad, but since it was a Mortal Kombat game, people expected it to be like Mortal Kombat, but it wasn't. Mainly because it had to fit into the T rating...

The first half of that trailer with the not-moving people was rather reminiscent of the opening for Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3...

Aquaman has super strength simply due to the fact he can take the full pressures of the ocean.

Well, this is looking all right so far. And they're fighting on their own =P. I'll keep an eye on this.

Gamespot's article says that it will have at least as many characters as MK9 had on-disc.

Okay, looks solid. Who's in so far? Aside of the Big 3 that is Supes, Wondie and Bats...

Batman, Superman, WW, Harley Quinn, The Flash, Solomon Grundy.

The play was too slow, combos were awkward and sometimes too repetitive, the animations were often stiff, the acting was mediocre and the story line wasn't that well told. The last one might just be Hype Backlash from all the people who heard gushing about how surprisingly deep it was, not knowing Mortal Kombat was never good with plot(Mortal Kombat Mythologies:Subzero being the cementing truth of this statement)

Oh yeah, and it was a T rated Mortal Kombat, which brings us back to the point of Midway games rarely being played for their polish. We play them for their audacity. Would we really be playing rampage if we couldn't crush people between floors of collapsing buildings, poke hole in their parachutes and watch them desperately flair before splatting on the ground or Just Eat. Probably not. Would we play Biofreaks if we couldn't rip the other guy's arms off and then shove him into a shark pool? I could see tuning the blood down to realistic levels, rather than making everyone lose a pint in high arcs every punch(really, the novelty wore off after killer instinct did it better) but that's the only thing they did keep.

Everything else, like the ripped off heads with spines still attached, explosions of frozen bleeding body parts, peeled off skin and crotch first bisections were removed? Why did we play Mortal Kombat again? It should have been Mortal Kombat vs Vertigo(ala X-men vs Street Fighter) but DC can't do anything without Superman or Batman.

It's not edgy enough for this game, Known. Isn't that obvious?

The Red and Black jester outfit? I didn't know she had another one besides Arkam Asylum.

This one should last a lot longer.

Honestly keeping my eye on this. Grundy's looking awesome with the noose around his neck and array of blades sticking into his back. But why doesn't Wonder Woman get cool looking armor? She's a freaking amazon! They all have cool armor except her!

I figured Captain Cold would be, actually. But source? Or are they in the trailer somewhere.

Flash was fighting an ice guy and Supes was fighting what looked to be Luthor in the trailer. I'm just guessing, but that's what it looks like.

Good point. Though, Flash could have been fighting Mr. Freeze. Captain Cold makes more sense, for him, but Solomon Grundy is more of a Green Lantern villain than a Batman one, and Harley Quinn has nothing to do with Wonder Woman, to my knowledge.

I hope this game will be extremely good.
